President Trump probably won't buy Cathy Turney's "Get 10,000+ Twitter Followers Easily, Quickly, Ethically" but I did. I wanted to learn more about how to use this social media phenomenon that is sweeping the world.
And I did, thanks to the author's informative and entertaining guide.
I've had a Twitter account since 2009 but except for an occasional comment I haven't done much with it as a marketing tool. That's why I'm 9,920 short of the 10,000+ goal.
As she did in her award-winning book," Laugh Your Way to Real Estate Sales Success", Cathy Turney approaches what could be an intimidating challenge with a bulging folio of research and experience spiced with a disarming sense of humor which relieves your worry about the dreaded 140-character limit for your message.
First, she shows beginners how to set up a starter account and, using actual examples and computer screenshots, how to interpret a tweet. She uncloaks the mystery of terms like "#hashtag" and "retweet". (I never knew @haughtline was my "handle".)
Then she gets down to the nitty-gritty, pointing down the path to 10,000+ followers. Her plan includes three "easy technology" programs. I'm not going to give away all her secrets. You'll have to buy the book.
By now the learner might be feeling a bit Twitter literate. But that's not all. Having built your nest and given you wings the teacher now shows you how to soar into the Twittersphere. And she admonishes you to keep your nest clean.
Anyone who says this book is for the birds is right. And this little birdie is eager to put these teachings into practice.
I can't wait to do my first nest cleaning.
I was a Twitter fledgling before reading Cathy’s book but now I’m ready to leave the nest! You "toucan" get lots of twitter followers with the help of this well-written and easy-to- follow book.
It’s a bird’s eye view of only the most important concepts you’ll need to take your twitter skills to the "nest" level. If you’ve been feeling "hawkward" about your ability to gain followers and fly confidently through the Twitterverse, I hope you’ll read (and enjoy) Cathy’s book as much as I did.
"Hoot" have thought it could be this easy?!
