Format: Paperback
G. Steven Kinnard's book offers Christians insights into how to deepen your understanding and study of the Word of God. Kinnard offers practical application points as well as insights into the struture, themes, and outlines of the books of the Bible.

For those who love the Bible and long to grow in your knowledge of Jesus and His Kingdom (2 Peter 3:18) then I would urge you to purchase this book and go deeper into the Bible than you have ever been before (John 17:17).

If you really want to understand the bible, this is a great resource. I've lent it out and had to buy another. This book has helped me learn more from my studies by helping me apply the practicals to follow. I learned where to turn or which book to study in the bible of what I was seeking. It's a great resource for anyone looking to further their knowledge and always have as a resource. I think I copied one page out of this book and taped it to the inside of my bible just as a reference. Each book in the bible is on a topic that if we read and study out, we will gain more insight on that specific topic. When you're feeling joyful, turn to Philippians; stuck in a cycle of sin, turn to Judges, need courage, read Joshua. There's a few pages of what book to read for different topics.

I read this book some years ago and would highly recommend it, not just for the novice but also for the mature christian. This is a great foundational book for building ones faith and truly getting the most out of your bible study. I've also found it a great resource in defending the faith that i use time and again.
