I have been a ham for 56 years, and was looking for a book for my brother-in-law, who might be interested in getting his license. He has not yet made that decision. This book assumes that the reader already has a licence and is ready to assemble a station. It describes the various transmission categories, and the options for each license class. Although the book was not quite what I was looking for, it did have many relevant chapters for the beginning ham. However, I thought the chapters had too much information for a beginner. It should have been concentrated more for the person who is looking at the possibility of getting a llicense. That should have been Part One of the book. The other chapters could have followed in a shorter format..

A very good book. Covers everything very well.
However, it needs a review. Way too many exclamation points. I don't like people yelling at me when I'm reading a technical book.
Technical books should come with a period to exclamation ratio ( . : ! = 0)

The Exam prep software is also very good. It has a few quirky design issues, but it does its job.
