What the author has been able to do, though, is tie a lot of these philosophies together to create his own synthesis which is laid out in an easy to understand and follow, step by step process to get yourself on track to doing the thing that inspires you the most.
Because I think most people are living repetitively day-to-day and never stop to think about what they really, really want, which is what the author leads you to stop and think about. He states, “Nothing is impossible to you. You can BE, DO, HAVE and GIVE anything you so desire!” and “You are the creator of your own life’s reality!”
When I hear such definitive, inspired statements, I hear them as empowering and as if someone is giving me permission to go out there and create my life’s desire. The heck with what others may think or say, or those negative thoughts I have, it’s my life and mine alone to succeed or not.
I learned that some famous quotes and phrases that have been said by religious figures, philosophers and writers - throughout time - were all describing the same concept; that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs become our own reality.
Norman Vincent Peale’s quote, “What the mind can conceive and believe, and the heart desire, you can achieve.” seemed to be a foundational message throughout the book.
The book was so much more than that, though, it’s a manual. Beginning with a foundation of understanding that’s laid out so the reader can understand what’s been going on with their own thought process, the author provides an actual roadmap to getting unstuck.
The roadmap consists of a 9-step process to getting yourself going in the direction of your desires. These progressive steps are intertwined with the various philosophies I mentioned earlier. To me, they were educational, practical, inspirational and motivational – all at the same time.
I plan on reading it again and possibly more times - especially if I feel I need a nudge from a friendly voice again.
