Keeping your hands off just got a new dimension to the phrase and actually in more ways than the obvious.
Ghost Elephant is the third eco-adventure of Zac Bates, this time aimed at rescuing elephants from a gang of brutal poachers at the Thula Thula game reserve in South Africa.
Considering the target market, it is great to be able to read such a clean adventure fantasy highlighting the scourge of poaching. And giving also the reasons for such so often overlooked. Very timeous as well, considering the dwindling of elephant herds.
going to Africa to try and help elephants being poached for their ivory as well as other body parts. Meanwhile in China a young girl, Nia, has vision of a magnificent ghost elephant and decides to help him save his family from poachers. Zak's group and Nia both end up in Africa and decide to work together. Read of their adventures and the dangers they run into while trying to save the elephants. Grab this great book and you will discover the horrors committed by poachers, the slow disappearance of these endangered animals and what we all can do to try and stop it. A wonderful book that will teach our children of what greed can do to one of earths most magnificent creatures. If you haven't read the other books in this series get them and learn more of the Eco Adventures the kids run into.
