I feel like the beginning lacked a little dialogue, although this didn't effect the story line and actually may have enhanced it some due to the characters background, but at the beginning it left a little "emptiness" to the reading. It would have been nice to have seen a tad more, not a lot as I think that would have hindered it, but a little. The small amount of dialogue felt a little forced. But as the story progressed we got more dialogue and it felt like it flowed much easier.
All in all, I completely enjoyed the book. To the point that I immediately chose to go and purchase the next book because I wanted more. More Steve, more ghosts, and more of Whittaker's work.
