Purchased this one (3 Star) and the other one (4 Star) for my Son, he likes them both and that alone is worth 10 bucks each for me, I played through the first one which was more a FPS feel and being in the movie feel more than this one. I was playing them for my son and I did enjoy the first one and the second I got pulled away from and haven't made it back yet. My son has though. This one felt a little more RPG like. Neither are bad game overall but I'd not expect to be blown away either. These are Dated, Ghostbusters itself seems geared towards kids more and even the movies though excellent classics were silly to some degree as well. If you love the Ghostbusters it is likely a must have, if you have kids that love the Ghostbusters it is likely a must have, if you just wanting something different it not a bad buy really if you want the latest and greatest then you should probably move on.. It could be an addition to a goto list/library as well depending on the person..

No STEAM CD KEY = GAME worthless and meaningless.

My son has a PS2 Ghostbusters game, he LOVES the ghostbusters. He has been begging me for a long time for another game, I couldn't find another PS2 game but when I found this I was ecstatic. He loves it! I have watched him play it a few times and it seems true to me for ghostbuster style. The previous review mentioned about the voice over, I honestly see no issues with it. My son is happy so I am happy.

I bought 2 copies of this game so I could play multiplayer with my son. This game does not work that way. It says you can play multiplayer, but it is not what you think. In the game there is some sort of turn based play where you have to switch back and forth on the same PC. There is no connectivity between PCs. Don't be fooled like I was. I would be happier if I could at least return 1 game since I bought 2.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a downloadable title that just recently hit the consoles and PC market. You may not have heard much about it since the marketing of the game seems to have been a bit on the low, but I got wind of it and couldn't resist picking up a title based off of a childhood favorite. Does this downloadable title offer enough game for the $10 price tag or is it destined to be forgotten in the cesspool that is Slimers stomach? Read on to find out.

The game begins with a comic book style story intro. There's no voice work, just text in comic style on pictures. You are introduced to a strange artifact that originates over 4,000 years ago and is now wreaking havoc on NYC. You play as one of four rookie Ghostbusters who are helping the real Ghostbusters handle their large work load. The story does tie into the lore that we all know and love but don't expect anything state of the art in terms of storytelling. For the most part, you are just going to be shooting stuff.

Gameplay, as stated earlier, is pretty basic. You point and shoot. Ghosts will come from all directions and try to run into you or shoot stuff at you. You will travel through a level going through rooms, hallways, or streets and eventually come face to face with a boss ghost who takes a lot of punishment with a pretty big health bar. You will die a lot in this game and when you do, you can be revived. As long as someone is left standing the game will go on. Reviving someone consists of standing over their body and spamming the A or X button (consoles) or space bar (PC). The gameplay is fun enough, for a while, but after playing for a solid hour or so you'll begin to feel the tedium of exactly what you are doing. The enemies may change, the scenery may change, but you're really not doing anything different. You'll shoot and move throughout the level. Throughout levels you'll find pickups and collectibles, but it doesn't really help the game in the boring department. It jut gets old way too quick and you're left waiting for something, anything to happen that will mix up the gameplay. Keep waiting, it's not coming.

So, if you are a hardcore Ghostbusters fan, you probably don't even need to read a review about the game, you bought it and are making your own opinion of it. If not, you probably should avoid this one and go find another shooter. There's plenty of other games on the market that will offer a much better and varied experience than Ghostbusters: SoL.

I am a GB fan since I was a kid, but this game is far from the GB experience. It’s supposed to be a Sequel to the 2012 Ghostbusters the video game on various platforms and PC. While the original held up to its name, this game lacked a story line. The ghost or something out of gauntlet and the playability is choppy. This truly is the worst game I’ve ever played. You have been warned.
