Duncan Ralston is best known for his extreme book, Woom, but that is in recent years. After Woom was written, the author wrote a book called “Ghostland” which eventually became a trilogy. The book starts off in a ghost amusement park, and turns into an apocalyptic situation eventually. The stakes start high and continue to escalate the further you get. If that wasn’t enough, the omnibus also includes the prequel, bonus chapters and an end scene, among other things.

This is a trilogy written by one of the new masters of the genre, it’s a labor of love that you can tell the author wrote for himself, and for his fans. This comes with my highest recommendation.

What an amazing way to read this trilogy! Even if you have read it before, the extra content and maps are really such amazing things that add to the experience. The AR cover is also something I’ve never seen before but what a cool feature. Highly recommend to anyone who has or hasn’t read the trilogy. The story is worth it alone.

Cool ideas, but the writing style is...dull. Everything is laid out very straightforward and linear: "This happened. Then that happened. And those caused this other thing to happen, so now the characters will react to that." Repeat for a LOT of pages, the end.
