That said, I really did enjoy this story. It was different and creative. I thought the ghostly elements were done well, explained, and despite her flaws I really liked Charlie. I think the book would have been flat without her big personality. There really isn't much of a mystery element in the book. As others have pointed out, the killer's identity is given away at the beginning of the book. Kate, who has the ability to see ghosts, helps bring Charlie's murderer to justice so she can pass over.
I'd be willing to read another book by this author.
Characters: 3.5/5 Stars
Descriptive personalities that come alive throughout the story. Each character has their own unique take on the world adding a greater feel of cohesiveness to the story.
Unfortunately, one of the main characters is rather childish and comes across as much younger than she should be.
Plot: 3/5 Stars
Predictable. Accident happens- depression and guilt set in- finds a man but pushes him away- the man is patient and takes it like a champ- they end up happily ever after.
Writing style: 4/5 Stars
Down to earth writing style with intellectual concepts strewn in for added depth.
Flow: 4/5 Stars
Flowed well from idea to idea and chapter to chapter, with few grammatical errors.
Also, each idea was fleshed out and plausible even though this is a paranormal novel.
Who is this book suited for?
People who enjoy Romance, Chick Lit, Beach reads or light Paranormal.

Sexuality: Detailed sexual scenes.

Ghostly Liaisons was a somewhat sweet, entertaining story. While I could understand Bridget's apprehensions about getting into a relationship, she was beginning to irritate me with her pigheadedness in regards to her safety, which made her quite stupid at times. How many times does one need to be hit in the back of the head to see reason? Rob was the more likeable and sensible of the two lead characters.
While I loved the basic chemistry between the H/h (thanks to the hero more than the heroine), I had a hard time believing that their recorded evidence of Carl's crimes and confessions could really be used to convict him...since there was a conversation about the ghosts AND the ghosts' voice(s) heard in the recording! What court of law would bother accepting such 'evidence'?
Anyway - even with the unrealistic evidence and annoying character bits - I liked the story overall.
The story was thrilling not knowing was was going to happen next. Charlie's boyfriend Nick was also killed on a building site and it was because of him Rob's sister Charlie was murdered. Police had written her death off as a suicide
