Unfortunately nowhere in the description does it mention that this is written from a Christian perspective. There is an entire chapter on God and His Plan. Unfortunately the copies I bought were for members of a non-Christian family. Wish this was apparent in the description as this book wasn’t appropriate for this non-religious family.

In the section called 'Talking to Kids' she says, referring to being honest with children about the cause of death, "These children have already been betrayed by one adult they loved, trusted and depended on. To deceive and betray them again is unfathomable!".
She includes sections on forgiveness that seem harsh and that lack understanding of a person's suffering prior to a suicide. Perhaps there is no need for forgiveness but rather compassion towards the person who died.
The author is obviously still very angry and unforgiving towards her mother.
There are some helpful ideas in this book but it has some dangerous opinions that one should take with a pinch of salt.
I would not recommend this book to those in the early stages of suicide bereavement.
