About the Author
Jay’s first introduction to massage and healing work occurred in beauty school. While studying cosmetology in 1968, he took a basic course in massage. This class primarily covered scalp, facial, hand and foot massage, but it was just the beginning of Jay’s interest in massage therapy and healing techniques. In 1970, Jay studied at the Santa Monica School of Massage where he received his certification as a massage therapist. He next completed advanced training with Greta Schmidt from Germany her specialty is sports injury therapeutic massage. In the ensuing years, he added reflexology, Do`-In and Shiatsu and became proficient in Reiki, levels one and two. Jay is a Certified Access Facilitator, Certified Spiritual Counselor and a Certified Practitioner in Science of Mind. In 1990--1999, Jay studied herbal medicine under the tutelage of a shaman of the Blackfeet Indian Tribe, Leonard J. Mountain Chief, who also introduced him to the teachings of White Buffalo Speaks, a disembodied elder of the Tribe. Jay’s interest in the healing arts has spanned over 40 years, in which he has read over 1,500 books on topics such as philosophy, psychology, specialty studies of the mind, spirituality, touch for health, the study of herbs in healing, life direction planning, nutrition, energy work and other related fields. The Gift of Touch has been a work in progress since 1976, with new, very relevant discoveries from 1996 to 2008. Jay is also an organic gardener; he owned and operated Paradise Farms in Carpentaria CA for over twenty years, during the 70’s and 90’s. Jay has a deep respect for the earth and assisting Mother Earth to heal herself. Jay now lives in Ojai, CA, which is pronounced O-hi. In the Chumash Indian language it means “The Nest.” Please share your experiences with Jay. Feel free to write Jay anytime. He really does answer his own letters. Contact Jay North through either of his websites www.GoingOrganic.com or www.OneGlobePress.com and in archives.org www.SpiritHealing.net. Help save planet Earth; please send your friends to either of the websites listed above and ask them to purchase their own copy of The Gift Of Touch, Open Spaces and Miracles In The Kitchen. One thing that is simply amazing to us is that it appears to work, and appears to go beyond placebo effect (I'm skeptical by nature, and was pleasantly surprised by the book).
If a reader wants to begin to explore about the amazing gift touch, this is an excellent choice!
And the price is VERY reasonable.
I reserve 5-star ratings for the very best of the very best.
