I have not had a problem so far with this board. Front USB 3.0 and 2.0 work fine. Front headphone out works fine. Sound is good with one of the free op-amps installed. I am using a gtx780 Nvidea card and every game I through at it starts and plays fine. Crucial 1866mhz ram works good. No problem with ssd or hard drive, or sata ports.
Nothing overclocked, don't need to. No strange crashes after a week of running it. Don't use the disk, use online for drivers and new bios. Fast charge only works with Apple. No Android support. Minus 1 star for that.
Edit:I got my board somewhere else, it came with 3 more op-amps in a kit, but was more money also.
Edit:Now that new drivers have come out this is the best board I have ever had. Android devices are recognized in fast charge. Wopee!!! Upgraded to 5 star.

Pros: This motherboard is amazing. Everything about it is great! I upgraded from the ASRock Z87M Extreme4 and this Gigabyte board blows it away! Overclocking is a breeze aswell!

Cons: I am having an issue with the front microphone port aka HD Audio Header. Whether its hardware or driver related, I am simply not sure. Basically, the front audio headphone works but the microphone port does not. Windows does not acknowledge a jack when plugged in at all either. I have contacted Gigabyte Tech Support and followed their suggestive guidelines such as trying a different front port from a different case but to no avail. They suggested to get a replacement from Amazon which I did. I replaced the motherboard and the issue still persists. I not only reinstallled the drivers (from the Gigabyte Website) I also did a fresh install of Windows 8 (Again) and the issue persists. I hope to soon find a fix for this but in the meantime, I am using the rear microphone port which works perfectly.

Great board, Installed everything, posted, set my ram speeds and kept everything else stock. Booted and has run flawlessly for 2 months. I haven't changed the customizable audio at all but may try that soon as I get a slight hissing. I will update the review when I overclock the 4770k I have in the system. The color scheme is aesthetically pleasing and the green audio line is nice to look at if you have a windowed case. I haven't tried windows 8.1 yet but have read some horror stories about the driver incompatibility for the killer aetheros ethernet card. Do your research before choosing this board.

This is an excellent motherboard... it was the easiest build I have ever put together. Coupled with an Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core processor, this was a really fast PC. Highly recommend it.

After installing this motherboard I had too many problems to list here. First of all it would not recognize only one of my monitors. I tried to download the drivers and applications software form the Gigabyte site and I got a message that said the software was not compatible with my operating system...Windows 8.1. Then out of exasperation I tried to install the software from the supplied DVD and got the same messages. I have a hard time understanding why a Z87 motherboard is not compatible with Window 8.1. Anyway, I boxed the motherboard up and sent it back. Think I will stay with the Z97 models ...which I hope will be updated for Windows 8.1. I have had several motherboards and never ran into this kind of compatibility issue. The Z87 boards were released last spring and were designed in the 2012 era of Windows 7...that's what I get for trying to get a deal on a motherboard that is one cycle behind.

I love this card, I've been a month of use, the drivers gave me no problems on 64-bit Windows 8.1 Pro. Very good audio quality, and did I mention that it is very attractive?. I put a core i5 4670k OC to 4.2Ghz, with a liquid cooling Cooler master Seidon 120M, there were no problems. Something that I really liked was not where he placed the fan headers, cost me a lot of power to connect them all in one case Cooler Master 690II Nvidia Edition. I have bios version F9 and his works perfectly fine. I know how much enrredo Dual bios switch permanently or if it already came factory on the end I think I have it in dual. I really like this colos and has great performance, highly recommend it.

UPDATE Aug 8: I also found the one PWM 4 pin connector fails to function as PWM, the fan worked on max RPM all the time since startup. I had to use splitter and connect it to other PWM connector. The are 3, the faulty one in my system is SYS_FAN3. The "goodies" of this motherboard just keep coming, "GREAT JOB" gigabyte, I can feel the "Quality Control".

Original review:
You pay extra 80$ and what you get:
* Mediocre wifi, while you can buy much stronger PCI-E card instead (TP Link 4800 for instance).
* Horrible sound card with no frequent Drivers, unlike Realtek which provide new drivers at least once in a few months.

Let's forget all that, now for the real flaws:
* Front mic doesn't work, I checked with 2 cases and 3.5" adapter. Gigabyte support gives you stupid instructions "do this do this do this" to make you leave them alone. and YES, I DID switch to "front mic" in the Creative Panel (annoying software).
* My USB 3.0 header (19 pin) powers only one USB 3.0 port, not two. I know it's the motherboard since when USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter plugged, both USB 3.0 ports are working (at USB 2.0 speed).

And to be honest, the Creative sound card actually sound inferior to my former Realtek. Sometimes there are distortions which can be fixed using the Creative Panel (annoying).

If I could go back in time, I'd buy instead their GA-Z87M-D3H model. The risk with those Sniper expensive models is, that Gigabyte doesn't invest real effort to provide good BIOS and drivers as not many people purchase these.
Based on my former experience, I'll advise everybody to go with the more mainsteam boards (like GA-Z87M-D3H) since they get better attention (therefore frequent updates).
