Awesome card but BEWARE!

Honestly, this card is amazing! Its an attractice piece of hardware, is very quiet and every game I had played with it looks crystal clear on ultra settings and at least 60 fps. However, when I initially recieved it, every game would crash within 10 minutes of playing them. Full system lockup in fact and would require a hard reset. I could only run my games on the cards silent mode
Upon further research through threads on the interwebs and Newegg reviews I noticed a lot of others were haing the same issues. This is because the Aorus engine program used to overclock the card didn't seem to work in OC and gaming modes as advertised. It would only work without crashes in silent mode. I understand this doesn't happen with everyone though because a friend of mine has the exact same card and has no issues with it all. This is just a warning that this issue could arise and is the only reason why I am giving it three stars. I even went as far as to try another overclocking program (MSI Afterburner) to see if that was the issue and it crashed yet again.

Card looks awesome and clocks the same as my founders card.
The card won't hold that 2101MHz overclock I was looking for, but it holds 2076MHz just like my founders edition. I also have it set to 6016MHz on the memory clock, both are stable.
I was pretty amazed when I opened up afterburner for this card. It allows you to go up to 150% on the power limit even though you will never clear 130% with a maximum overclock, and that's overstating it.
Something I really like and don't like at the same time is the lighting. It actually doesn't match the RGB in my Aorus Gaming 7. You can tweak the settings to match though. I found out why as well. I believe the card has RGBW, which I tested to find that it indeed does have a truly white setting, unlike the motherboard's obvious RGB white that is more blue than anything. Card looks sick and I'm really starting to get into the white and orange theme.
As a sidenote, this waterblock doesn't seem to match any others on inlet/outlet placement. I have a bitspower waterblock on my founders card, and since they don't match I'll have to buy another one of these to run SLI. You'll be happy to know buying this is actually cheaper than the other one anyway though.
For the record, I actually had two 980ti Xtreme Editions in SLI and they were also monsters. This is why I continue to come back to Gigabyte.

Don't do it.....

Before buying the Gigabyte Aorus 1080 Ti graphics card, I did my research. Unfortunately, I should’ve paid more attention to the negative reviews. It’s actually hard to justify a one star but initially the Gigabyte organization showed some strength with their support team. But like their defective card(s), that didn’t last long either.

After two weeks of effort, I’ve been unable to use this card because of a defective unit. The fans rubbed against the housing, revved uncontrollably (even with their software installed) and the unit consistently operated over 85 degrees Celsius. Defective units can happen, so rather then return to Amazon, I went through the RMA process hoping that a new card would deliver everything I hoped when deciding on Gigabyte. I even coordinated advanced shipping with my credit card, and the result: I have now seen 2 GB video cards fail in virtually the same way, although the second card was worse. Not good.

To provide more substance, the physical device workmanship is some of the worst I’ve seen. Both cards although extremely heavy in weight suffer from housing construction issues that cause the fans to sound like jackhammers as they rub against the housing. This is supposed to be high end consumer electronics for advanced computing. Embarrassing for a $25 let alone high end equipment priced over $700!

Further fuel on this technical fire, the cards do not play well apparently with Asus motherboards – or as support implied non-Gigabyte motherboards. I had really high hopes for this card being the center of a great system failed, what an unbelievable disappointment. My advice to anyone reading, do not waste your time and money on this product and as you deal with more advanced levels of support, the friendly customer focus becomes argumentative and accusatory.

Stay away....

Excelente tarjeta de video, valió la pena la espera ya que cuando la compre venia una fecha aproximada que fue cambiando por la alta demanda del producto y terminó llegando casi 20 días después, pero lo vale, bien protegida y empaquetada, desde que la abres y sacas de su caja se nota la calidad de la tarjeta, llegó sin ningún detalle o golpes, la tarjeta es hermosa, su rendimiento es fenomenal, juego en un monitor de 2560x1440p 144hz y la verdad es esta y tarjeta le saca todo el provecho posible a este tipo de monitores, venia de una 980ti evga sc+ 2.0 y se nota una gran diferencia, si tienes el dinero definitivamente came la pena Invertir en una tarjeta que duré varios años, en aspectos técnicos cualquiera que ande detrás de una 1080ti los sabe de sobra, el software que tiene gigabyte para controlar el led y hacerle OC no es tan bueno, recomiendo mejor usar msi afterburn o evga precision xoc ya que es mejor, hasta ahorita no he ocupado hacer oc para disfrutar de juego acompaño the witcher 3 con todo en ultra jugando estable arriba de 90fps o rise of tomb rider arriba de 80fps con todo en ultra, definitivamente su desempeño es el mejor.

As expected the cards breaches the 2000mhz mark, and is rock solid stable at 2062. Not the best, but that's the luck of the bin for you.

One thing I wanted to say. I've had such a poor experience with Gigabyte's software. Aorus overclocking part of the software is fine, wish it was more intricate like EVGA's but it's not a deal breaker. What I find apalling is the fact I can't seem to get their RGB Fusion to work. With an inane back & forth with their customer support.

1) First I'm told to use a rather old version of Nvidia drivers. Which I try, and it doesn't work.
2) I'm asked to use a specific version of Aorus, and it doesn't work.
3) I'm given an upcoming version of Aorus, and it doesn't work.
4) It's at this point the tech support person sends me a screenshot of the software working on their machine...

I work in software & Hardware QA and I've never seen such lax troubleshooting from a company. Didn't even bother asking me for specifics about my motherboard. They only troubleshoot their software on their own motherboards. So very impressive. So get the card for the specs, and if you are as lucky as me. You better like the rainbow cycling effect because that's all you are going to get.

Pensaba comprarme la Extreme, pero encontré esta en buen precio, realmente no tiene nada que envidiar a la extreme, tiene buena capacidad de overclocking, se que su software no podrá gustar a muchos, por que le falta mejorar, pero para hacer un overclocking básico esta perfecto, activen en modo gaming cuando vayan a jugar, o el modo OC, y verán un aumento pequeño en FPS, esto sirve si la usan para jugar en 4K, en 2K o 1080P ni se ocupa overclock.
Les diré un juego de referencia basado en mis pruebas.
Rise Of tomb Rider en 1440P sin OC logro 100-110 FPS estables con todo en ultra y usando OC se mantiene entre 100 y 120 FPS todo con anti aliasing FXAA y en 4K todo al maximo, obviando el antialiasing que no es necesario, se logran de 50 a 60 FPS usando Overclock, sin OC 50-55, siempre abra bajones en algunas zonas o mapas pero no son menores a 45 FPS, la verdad se disfruta el 4K en este juego.
Así que podrán ver que son unos 5 FPS de diferencia usando OC, y aunque no noten diferencia, esto ayuda a que este mas estable el juego en 4K.
