Bought this when it first released. In 2019 this a solid card and can still handle most current games like battlefield 4/5 and other AAA titles on medium-high graphics even when recording in OBS. There are of course better Radeon cars now but if you're on a budget, this is still an amazing card 5 years after owning and I expect for it to still play game solid for another 4-5 years before upgrading

I'm going to be short and to the point, only because I paused FarCry 3 to come quickly write this due to my extreme happiness with this card. I first off will never hesitate to purchase a Gigabyte product, from motherboards to gpus they are a great company. I'm going to list my specs and then give card temps and fps for a few games, at least some decent reference for fellow gamers.
AMD FX-8350 BE oc'd to 4.8ghz
Gigabyte 7850 2GB ddr5
8GB Dual Channel Patriot Viper3 1866mhz
ASRock 990FX Professional Fatal1ty Gaming Mobo
750w XFX Core Edition 80plus Bronze
32GB Sandisk ReadyCache SSD for fast boot times
FarCry in Ultra MSAA:Off 45-60fps at all times
Skyrim in Ultra 50-90fps at all times
GTA4 in Ultra 69.4 average in benchmark
WoW in Ultra 100+fps easily
GW2 in Ultra 50-65fps
Highest recorded card temp was 53celsius, very low. The fans on this model really do an amazing job.
Overall I am so happy I bought this card! I hope more people buy and enjoy!
UPDATE: Well I just ordered my 2nd card to run in Crossfire together. I'm very excited. I decided to go crossfire because this card has proved to be reliable thus far, very quiet, and surprisingly cool. I could care less about sound as long as my temps are good but cannot complain with both. I will update again in 3 days once I get the cards in Xfire on my system and will post about reliability and performance gains.

This card is awesome stays around 27-30 degrees celsius when idle and i haven't seen it go past 50 on load using the heaven benchmark i can max every game I've thrown at it and it's almost 3 times as fast as my 5770 and stays alot cooler and doesn't even come close to how noisy the 5770 is
Pros:
stays cool
it was only $184.99 when i purchased it
runs all my games maxed out with little lag
actually pretty quiet even at 100% fan speed it's half as loud as a sapphire 5770 vapor-x at 100%
overclocks great doesn't need it but i wanted to try it out and i got it the clock speed to 1000 and the memory to 1250 without it getting much warmer than usual and it stayed stable but i went back to stock because i don't want to risk it dying prematurely
scores 7.9 in wei
Cons:
when i first got it there was artifacts in my browser but after a few days the problem is gone
can't seem to upgrade the bios but it doesn't seem to need it
Bottom Line:
This really is a great gaming card and I'm extremely glad i got it i know there are alot of bad reviews about this card but i guess i got lucky

I got this graphics card for my birthday because I was in dire need of a new one that could run all my games smoothly without too much trouble and I when I first tested it on Empire Total War I was blown away by not only how powerful it was but how quiet it was. I actually got it today and I haven't stopped using my computer for about five hours straight. Before my games were always laggy and I had to run everything from low to medium but now I always have it on high or ultra high! Even though it takes at least 500 watts of electricity to power (which is a pretty good amount of power) it's not very expensive to upgrade your power source if your pc can't handle it. My old graphics card was rated 3.7 out of 7.9 and now it's rated 7.9 out of 7.9! I haven't any prolems with performance and I strongly recommend the AMD Radeon 7850 to anyone looking to do some serious gaming.

It arrived on time and undamaged, installed easily with clear, and easy to follow instructions. This is a large card, as it takes up ALL of the space for 2 PCI slots, and even crowds my PCI express slot. It also requires a direct connection to the PSU via a PCI-E connector, but they include an adaptor to facilitate the PSU lacking this type of connector. This card is equipped with 2 large fans with a unique shroud to help vent the heat out through the rear of the case, and they do so rather quietly too.
The graphics are Awesome! I do not have any benchmarks to share, but I will tell you this; It has performed flawlessly--if it has dropped any frames, I didn't see them! I continue to be impressed every time I play a game! Great card!
My build:
AMD FX 8320 CPU
ASUS M5A97 LE R 2.0 MOBO
Corsair Vengeance 16 Gig, DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
Corsair Force GT 240 GB SSD
Corsair GS800 800 watt PSU
and the above mentioned Graphics card, of course

looks great a works even better
The new tomb raider runs fine on ultimate with just one of this cards, far cry 3 however, I can just run it mid/high range. I am using 37" 60hz TV too that may have a little to do with it
too, I don't know. I have not overclock this card yet, because this is my first build. I really do not know how high, I can overclock this card. I am sorry or I would give the specs for games with the card being overclock.
my build
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (not 8 because I do not like 8)
NZXT Guardian Black mid-tower case (case does not have any room for cable management. I am thinking about going to NZXT Phantom 820 Full Tower)
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s
AMD FX-8350 FX-Series Eight-Core (same CPU cooler that came with CPU)
Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB GDDR5 (one card for now that's all that I am using)
Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB SATA III 2.5-Inch 6.0 Gb/s
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s
Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB (2x4 GB Modules) 1600 MHz DDR3 (adding 8gb more latter)
Corsair CX750 Builder Series ATX 80 PLUS Bronze

I have only had this card a week, but I feel comfortable recommending it to anyone looking for a less expensive 7850 card. I have tried several games and benchmarks and it performed well with frame rates averaging 50-70fps. Skyrim, Oblivion, and good old Morrowind all look just as good or better than the Xbox360/Xbox versions, as does Rage, most were close to maximum settings, Bioshock Infinite had to be turned down a bit to prevent some minor stutters. The HDMI out gives an excellent HD picture on a Sony Bravia 42" for movies and gaming, and I was playing Morrowind on my 20" monitor while watching Netflix on the Sony with no problems thanks to hydravision. I am keeping it under its factory set overclock @800mhz as this was recommended to prevent crashes. (none so far). I am reserving the final star for three months, and I will edit the review at that time.
The install was easy, and a 2x4pin to 6pin adapter was included. The drivers seem to be working fine with no compatibility issues, and the overclocking utility is simple and easy to use. (It hides itself on the task bar immediately, and I had a NOOBER moment figuring that one out, you're welcome.) I am waiting on a new power supply to really push it, it requires 500w and I only have a 450w. The fan is virtually silent and the highest temp I have read was 51c. It scores 8 in both windows performance categories.
My rig is; CPU intel-i7 3770, pegatron mid range mobo (next upgrade!), with 12g RAM
