I bought this card after careful consideration, and after reading August's Tom's Hardware Best Graphics Cards for the Money article. I couldn't be happier with it. Its TDP is only 130W, less than my old 9800 GTX. The GPU runs very cool - mid 50s on a sustained full load (on a summer afternoon in Honolulu, no less). The two fans on the heatsink direct the exhaust air through the back of the case instead of just circulating it inside the case. Paired with my overclocked AMD 1055t, this thing rips through Crysis 2 @ 1080p, 'Ultra' settings - looks beautiful on my 50" monitor!

This is the single greatest device ever invented by man. It makes World of Warcraft, Skyrim, Battlefield, Crysis, Alan Wake, Arma 2, Farcry 3 and anything else on steam its bitch. 60fps no matter what I do. If God was looking for a video card, this would be his choice.

First of all like you probably are doing i thought about buying this product for a long time. I finally saved up the money and purchased, (and one day shipped) the item, and man i couldn't be happier. I had a ati 6700 prior and only played beginning levels of Dead Space 3, Bioshock Infinite, and Tomb Raider. It looked okay but i knew it could be better. For the money you can't beat it, I now run all those games stated previously at Very High-Ultra. It looks so great i can't even believe it sometimes lol...There are times in bioshock where i just marvel at the graphics and if you buy this card you will too, trust me...

All in all great card, high-end budget card. You will see a great difference from your card you own now so stop thinking, debating, checking other g-cards and just buy this one.

So far this card has been awesome. I can't hear it and it handles any game I throw at it.
I can't believe how cool it stays and how much little power it uses.

Coming off a GeForce 9600 GSO from 2007 this card is a great upgrade. Maximum Windows 7 score (7.9). Runs games at max settings no problem. Description says recommends 2 6 pin power plugs - this is not true it only needs one, not only that it only has a spot for one. It's stock fan is as quiet as the previous Zalman fan I had and loved on my last card.

I love this card, especially for the price! This turns your pc into a console eater. I simply go into graphics settings and set to high all the time with confidence and enjoy fast frame rates (will do Ultra settings, but I enjoy faster frame rates for stutter free and fluid gameplay), and currently am playing Tomb Raider and the graphics are stunning. I am hooked to pc gaming now. Also, this card is much quieter than my previous vcard which was a Nvidia 9600gt and is about the same size too, so it fits nice in my medium sized case. Furthermore, I chose this one over the 1gb version but I don't think there would be a discernible difference, however I want it to be future proofed for at least 2yrs. I almost bought the gtx 650ti for price, but am happy I decided on this one as it has 256bit over 128bit of the gtx 650ti which is a bit of a bottleneck at times when too much is happening at once in the gameplay. I made sure I was getting a fast 256bit card at least because even my 9600gt had the same.

My rig is a i5 2500k at 3.8ghz, 8gb ram, gigabyte Z68 motherboard, 550w fatality psu, and now this HD7850 2gb. May not be the best setup but bought the rig for under $1k, so you don't need to spend big to get good results.

HD7850 2gb is good value for money, no regrets from me...

This card is awesome stays around 27-30 degrees celsius when idle and i haven't seen it go past 50 on load using the heaven benchmark i can max every game I've thrown at it and it's almost 3 times as fast as my 5770 and stays alot cooler and doesn't even come close to how noisy the 5770 is

Pros:
stays cool
it was only $184.99 when i purchased it
runs all my games maxed out with little lag
actually pretty quiet even at 100% fan speed it's half as loud as a sapphire 5770 vapor-x at 100%
overclocks great doesn't need it but i wanted to try it out and i got it the clock speed to 1000 and the memory to 1250 without it getting much warmer than usual and it stayed stable but i went back to stock because i don't want to risk it dying prematurely
scores 7.9 in wei

Cons:
when i first got it there was artifacts in my browser but after a few days the problem is gone
can't seem to upgrade the bios but it doesn't seem to need it

Bottom Line:
This really is a great gaming card and I'm extremely glad i got it i know there are alot of bad reviews about this card but i guess i got lucky
