Ultimately you get what you pay for. The voltage regulator on the first one died after about 1 hour of use. I was using a 9v battery on the Raw pin, which is the standard way to power it and it just died. I found later that It will work by supplying 3.3v to the Vcc pin, but that won't allow me to use it in the remote project I had purchased it for. Doing a bit of reading, I found that this is fairly common with the clones. The 2nd Pro Mini goes haywire after a few minutes of use.. The blue LED flashes and the reset button does nothing. To reset it, you have to remove power and it will work for another few minutes. The 3rd works fine and I have swapped them round to prove that it is the Pro Mini and not any other component.
I flashed a modified blink test and a simple PIR sensor test and it worked great. I hardly tested all functionality of all pins but I don't expect there to be any difficulty.
Note that the three pieces are not just shown side-by-side. They are on a single board with shallow cuts between them, so you have to literally break them apart.

Both LED's on these are blue, though and the pin 13 LED is very bright. Not very subtle and a bit unpleasant.Read more
