Gillette Fusion Proglide
Introducing Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Men’s Razor with FlexBall Technology, the razor that responds to the contours of your face. The Fusion ProGlide Power on-board battery delivers soothing Micropulses that help reduce friction and increase razor glide, helping the razor blades move effortlessly so you’ll barely feel them. Reengineered Low Cutting Force Blades feature thinner, finer edges with advanced low-resistance coating to cut effortlessly through hair with less tug and pull (first 4 blades [same as ProShield] vs. Fusion).
A Blade Stabilizer maintains optimal blade spacing for comfort, while allowing the blades to respond to the contours of a man’s face. Plus, the Streamlined Comfort Guard channels excess shaving cream to produce optimal blade contact, stretching the skin for a close, comfortable shave. The innovative MicroComb, exclusive to Fusion ProGlide Power, helps guide stubble to the blades. And the razor’s Enhanced Lubrastrip (vs. Fusion) is infused with mineral oil and lubricating polymers that allow the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power to move smoothly over skin, even on repeat strokes.

What is FlexBall Technology?
Handles featuring FlexBall Technology allow the blades to respond to the contours of your face. This means a close shave with fewer missed hairs (vs. Fusion in a single stroke over the contours).
What makes Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power better than Gillette Fusion Power?
The handle features FlexBall Technology that responds to contours for a great shave, even over the trickiest areas.
Gillette Fusion ProGlide and Fusion ProGlide Power share the same core technology: thinner, finer razor blades that glide through the hair for less tug and pull (first 4 blades [same as ProShield] vs. Fusion), a low-resistance coating, and the Precision Trimmer Blade. In addition:
- The streamlined Comfort Guard with channels to help clear away excess shave prep for a close shave
- The MicroComb, found exclusively on the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power, helps guide hair to the blade
What’s the microchip and how does it work?
A battery-powered razor delivers an optimal shave when the voltage and frequency remain consistent, shave after shave. Over the lifetime of the battery, the voltage can weaken, reducing frequency and therefore performance. The microchip maintains constant voltage and frequency over the lifetime of the battery, delivering consistent product performance every time you shave.
How does the low-battery indicator light work?
The microchip inside Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power senses when the battery is approaching a low level, and the low-battery indicator light begins to flash, signaling that it's time to change the AAA battery.
What’s the automatic shutoff feature?
The automatic shutoff feature turns the razor off after roughly 8 minutes of continuous operation. This feature protects the battery if the razor is accidentally activated, which comes in handy when traveling.
How does movement of the razor give men a better shave?
Soothing Micropulses help reduce friction and increase razor glide. With comfort so incredible, you'll barely feel the blades.
For best results, should the power be turned on or off when using the Precision Trimmer Blade?
The Precision Trimmer Blade can be used with the power turned on or off. Using the Precision Trimmer Blade with or without power is an individual choice.
What type of battery does Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power use?
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power uses a AAA battery.
How long will the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor blade refill last?
How long a razor blade refill lasts is dependent on many variables such as beard toughness and thickness, beard preparation, shaving habits, and skin sensitivity. The Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power's reformulated Indicator Lubricating Strip (vs. Fusion) will provide you with a visual cue—it fades to white—when optimal shave conditions have been reduced. When this happens, you might want to consider changing your razor blades to get an optimal shave.
Will Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor blade refills fit any other razors on the market?
Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power razor blade refills fit any Gillette Fusion or Gillette Fusion ProGlide handle, including those featuring Power and FlexBall Technology.

Only thing which was deceiving was that it advertises two refills. That implies you get the one which comes on the razor and two more. That was not that case. The one on the razor which you see if one of the two. This is very misleading to me as a customer and feel they need to reword the box or show a picture of the back side of the product and ensure the buyer can see the blade holder and see there is only one more.
Overall, Gillette has always had good razors in my opinion. Nothing really bad to say.
I often find it odd when manufacturer's intentionally lock out 50% of the human population when they market an item. Now, certain products such as feminine or E.D. products should stay gender specific but RAZORS????? Hey, woman shave too and have all kinds of weird angles to our body!
I have sparse hair on my legs but it's thick and wiry in nature. Standard cheap "Chick razors" just don't do it for me. I get razor rash, bumps and more than my fair share of skin gouges trying to get my legs smooth and nice enough to wear shorts and dresses.
So, I was very interested in this razor with it's "Proglide Flexball Handle Technology" and how it would work for an XX member of society along with the XY members it's marketed to.
WOW! and may I say, "WOW!!!", again!? I've been using it daily on my legs and underarms and the finished result is like satin! Usually, I have raw, chopped up skin when I'm done shaving but THIS razor takes shaving to an entire new level! As another reviewer suggested, I rinse it well and blot the blade after use and it's still as effective as 7 days ago. Mind you, the hair on my legs is probably 10% of what is on a man's face who has a thick beard, but still...the end result is as if I had used a depilatory on my legs!
The weight of the razor's body is very nice and substantial to hold; it's not flimsy and fly-away like those disposable razors. And the Flexball REALLY works, navigating that Oh!, So Tender skin around your ankle bone, shin bone and knee cap. Nary a nick or divot anywhere on my legs!!! And regarding under arm shaving, usually, cheap razors tear my skin so badly that I can't place deodorant on my skin for an hour or more after shaving.Read more ›
When the five-blade Fusion razors came out, I thought they'd lost it. "What a gimmick!" I thought. Well, turns out, those Proglide cartridges are really, really nice. :) I love the shave from those. I use the powered versions and love it. I don't know if the vibrations actually help, but I prefer those. I have, however, also used the manual versions and the powered versions without being on (low battery), so I think I can fairly compare this new model to those.
To me, this version shaved quite well, but not quite as close as a normal Proglide razor. It might be the new rotating head or the redesigned blades, but my preference goes to the previous model. This version does glide over my face very well, but no better (IMO) than a fresh Proglide cartridge. What is different, though, is that I can feel more whiskers left over (especially on my neck) when I get done and am rinsing off my face. A fresh Proglide cartridge gives me a very smooth result versus what I got with a brand new one of these. Others here are happy with it, so it might just work better for some than others. To reiterate - it is a good shave (so, four stars), but not as good as the previous Proglide.
My recommendation - if you haven't tried a Fusion Proglide razor, definitely give that a go.Read more ›
