These are my fav razors ever and I have sensitive skin. Usually a razor for sensitive skin sacrifices the closeness of a shave but rather than adding a skin bumper and/or extra lube strip that impedes a super close shave, this razor creates a super close shave w 5 awesome blades and less irritation by needing less strokes of the numerous blades to skin to achieve a reliable close shave wo irritation of many strokes w all other razors

These are some wonderful razors. I ended up buying these because I accidentally bought the refills for this razor thinking I had the razor at home. I didn’t! So I decided to order them on amazon then try to hunt them down at the grocery store. I found out recently that any Venus refill fits into any venus razor. But anyhow I ordered 2 of these razors so that I use one for legs and pits and a separate one for my bikini line.

These have a moisturizing strip so you have to make sure to store these where they can dry out properly. I made the mistake of keeping my razor leaned up against my shower caddy and it the moisturizing strip actually stuck to the plastic. So be mindful of that.

I've had Venus for several years. The handle on the left of the pic, is my old one. The one on the right is the one I just got from Amazon recently. And I had to get a new one because when I was going to replace the old razor with a new one on my old Venus handle, I accidentally broke the lock, so I unfortunately wasn't able to put a new razor in, and needed a new handle.

I loved Venus so much, so I purchased Venus again, and am so impressed with the revised handle! Both putting a razor into the handle, and also removing a razor was really easy. They engineered a new layout with a much more sturdy and large removal click. I'm so impressed with Venus!! It's the best handle I have EVER witnessed from ANY brand!

I love Venus Embrace! These leave my legs soft and smooth and do not irritate my skin like other razors do. I like the other Venus kind or razors and cartridges do too, but the ones with extra gel and stuff don't seem to last as long. These cartridges can last me up to a month and do not irritate skin and sometimes I use them just with just body wash.

I am so happy that I can now purchase these on Amazon and with the convenience of clipping coupons right on the page of the product. It's a much better alternative to cutting out the coupon and juggling it around the store and then finding out the store has some particular exclusion for the coupon. You can even subscribe and save, which I think is so great! It's one less thing I'll have to think about in the grand scheme of things.

I have the worst luck with razors. This is my third one from Gillette because they all keep falling off my shelf and breaking. I'll take part of the blame for having a slippery shower shelf...butttt...I wish these things were a little sturdier. That being said, this one hasn't broke yet and it's been a month so maybe I'm turning over a new leaf.

It does what it needs to, just like any other shaver.
The hair does stick to the soap part of the shaver which is annoying and you cannot keep the shaver face down or the soap will melt into the bathroom/bathtub surface.

It doesn't shave any different than any others I have used, I have to completely shave my entire leg easily only by shaving upwards against the grain which isn't good for the skin. If i shave downwards it gets some hair only.

Love this brand! I honestly, don't buy any other brand! Even though Venus is a more expensive product, it will save more money in the long run because it lasts forever! I usually use my razor without changing the blades for about a year. This is an excellent product! It's great for sensitive skin, and you don't have to press hard for it to work. I usually use my razor when I'm taking a shower. Its such a good product any kind of body soap will work.

Ladies We've Been Duped - Use the Men's!

I decided to give this a try one day when I was feeling girly and was sick of my ugly blue and grey men's Schick Hydro with five blades. At the first stroke I hated it. The ultra-light weight and shape of the razor is not satisfying to hold and the ginormous and weirdly shaped head made it hard to maneuver around my ankles. Finally, the lubricating strip seriously irritated my skin and left my legs itchy and bumpy. I also found that I did not get anywhere near the close and long-lasting shave I've enjoyed when using a men's razor. The refill blades on this thing are nearly five dollars more per pack than the Schick Hydro blades and this razor barely lasted longer than a Daisy disposable while a single Schick Hydro blade often lasts through WEEKS of daily shaving. I'd say we've been duped. Forget the pretty packaging to lure you in and try one of the men's shavers - I promise you the difference in quality of shave is astonishing and it's so much cheaper! The Schick Hydro is the closest, smoothest, gentlest, easy to hold, nicely weighted razor on the market for doing legs and they last forever - a very good value if ugly as sin.

My original review was in October but I've just updated my review from two stars to just one. I don't know why I gave it two stars in the first place. This razor cannot be used around the ankles and is definitely not designed for private parts as the head is so big one cannot even get the blade itself near the actual parts to be shaved. The lubricating strip irritated me too and I've never had that happen. The package came with two blades and I never even opened the second one. This is just awful. Actually the best razor for women I've ever used is the plain old original Daisy disposable. Just be careful with that one. The men's are so much better; they obviously don't know how to make a women's shaver beyond coloring them pink, and purple, and yellow.
