This is actually real sandalwood oil from what I can tell. I don't know how they do it for the price. It has that very sharp, acrid smell that people now think is sandalwood but was the hallmark of a young, low quality tree when I was younger. However, if I dilute this enough, I can start to smell the woody and other notes that make me think this is a true sandalwood extract, though I suspect it's been chemically enhanced with that trendy "sandalwood" stuff. In modern perfumery, they call it Oud interchangeably, which smells nothing like the real, aged Oud or sandalwoods I used to enjoy. Even today's Mysore sandalwoods are inferior and have that overbearing sharpness that indicates a lack of aging somewhere along the line. This has almost the depth and quality of some Mysore oils I've ordered recently. At least it's not a "sandalwood" fragrance oil made with patchouli and God knows what else. I've had some pretty awful bottles of swill that were sold as sandalwood.

Buyer beware. This H’Ana Neroli smells like chemicals. Strong odor. It does not smell like pure, therapeutic grade, 100% Neroli - only - essential oil (which has a soft, lovely floral scent). The bottle, and box, do not list country of origin; how it was processed. The bottle front says “Neroli Essential Oil”. The back of bottle says, “H’Ana Neroli essential oil is a combination of citrus and floral aroma…”. The box says 100% pure and natural citrus arantium L essential oil.

However, to me, based upon the lack of identifying info on the packages and how it stinks, makes me wonder if this is a fraudulent product - not pure 100% Neroli and nothing else, no other fragrances or oils added. Or, at the least, misleading and deceptive. Smells like a blend, but not identified. Maybe a percentage of this oil is actually 100% Neroli, so it can be stated on the package. Yet, still a mystery on the actual quality of the Neroli. In doing some more research, seems authentic Neroli essential oil is quite a bit more expensive and for a smaller amount. Really disappointed. Not usable at all and will dump it, can’t return it. I was able to get nice help for a refund. (Note: my 2nd attempt at purchasing Neroli Essential Oil - first one (different brand) was bad, as well. For people not knowing what true, 100% Neroli oil, therapeutic grade, is, - *no blend!* try to find it to get a smell. It is beautiful. Then you’ll know more what to expect when you purchase Neroli online.
