But this review is for "Girl in the woods"... First of all I love films with great views of the wilderness, forests, rivers, streams, oceans, etc... It is hard not to like nature. There are many things wrong with this movie. Not really the acting, but the way the story was told. I think it had potential if the direction was done based on natural instincts, fact based, instead of so many twists and turns, and clips, and scenes that seems so impossible. This movie has so many stories crammed into one film. I think that is why it was very confusing. One example, she had a cell phone, yes no reception, but why leave your essentials behind to follow a pseudo signal ? This did not make sense. This movie would've been so much better if they included things that are much more believable. Hopefully this would help the direction of the story teller to add segments that made more sense than just doing what appears to be random. Good luck on the next movie. I love watching films in the wilderness, but this is not one of them.

This movie is about a couple who goes into the woods for a getaway. Something terrible happens to the womans boyfriend. The woman who happens to have mental problems, has to now deal with being alone in the woods lost. You watch her mostly descend into madness. And there's alot of weird flashbacks and visions. The movie was alright it kept me entertained. It just wasn't the greatest.
really enjoyed this movie. i took one star off, because as a hiking, camping, and survival enthusiast, it hurt me when she didn't follow the stream down river. :P minor nitpick to an otherwise good movie.
I think people don't really understand that is what the movie is about: a woman going insane. It does the job pretty well I thought. The main actress is alright, I thought her physical acting was great but her lines ranged from decent to stiff-ish. I'm willing to give that some slack since she is actually pretty crazy from the get-go so her dialogue should be a bit off without seeming like bad acting. As for her boyfriend shooting himself, hey it could totally happen in real life people handle guns unsafely all the time. Additionally if you have spent any time in the woods you'll know its really easy to lose you way, especially if you have never been there before. I think that makes her stumbling around for so long more realistic, when you're lost, you're lost. It usually just gets worse from there, not better, also keep in mind she is lost AND insane. I'd say if you like horror give it a shot.
