It is 500 years since the first series of Dirt, which saw the Dragons and humans combine to fight and win freedom for the people of Dirt, from their oppressive rulers.
A horrible disease which killed most of the dragons had forced them to seek refuge on the other side of the world. Dragons now are things of myth and nobody can even lay claim to ever having seen one.
Enter two "young" girls, one seventeen and one (an ancient) over five hundred years old, but still looking like a young woman and two dragons who just want their people to be able to return home.
So starts a series of adventures and battles designed to win back the hearts and minds of the people of Dirt and to free them once again from their oppressive and bloodthirsty leaders.
Another great Dragon tale from Hogan. Loved this book.
The animals are lucky I remembered to feed them. I had to stop when the kindle quit. I had forgotten to charge it. Ticked me off.
Now keep in mind this is a BIG book. It will take you a while to read the whole thing. I love big books. If they are good. Because I never want the story to end. In this case there are two more books in this series to read. So I’m happy about that.
This one is about girls. Well one of them is a girl. Not yet eighteen when the story starts. The others are more grown up, but still seem pretty girlish which is about right. I still feel like a girl most of the time and really have no intention of growing up. So there! :p
AND!! AND!! There be DRAGONS! Yea Dragons. I love dragons. Especially these dragons. They are not grown up either lol. And some of them are smart alecks. All of them are good people (dragons?). I liked them.
The girls and the dragons end up trying to save the world from jerks. Which I’m all for. Wish they could come here. We have a lot of bad people tat need dealing with. That would be way cool. Seeing dragons land on the white house lawn? Priceless!
I would love to ride a dragon too, but like one of the other characters in this book, I'm afraid of heights. Would try it at least once though.
It isn’t all sweetness and light. There is an attempted rape scene, some bloody battle scenes, and some really bad people to deal with.
Very good read! You will laugh, you will cry, you will cheer them on. You WILL want to read the other books in the series. They don’t cost much though and all are available here on Amazon.
