It was such a change to read about someone else's DCP experience. Not only did the Collins girls attend the WDW college program instead of my Disneyland program, but they attended as sisters and roommates which made for a unique experience.
I wish I had found a book like this before going on my program. They cover everything a potential DCP attendee needs to know, and give advice on things to avoid as well. Much appreciated!

If your looking for an engaging narrative about the joys, tears and terrors of a year working at the happiest place on earth this is not the book for you. Anecdotes are short (rarely longer than a few paragraphs) and are told with list like precision. 'We were tired, we had a nice lunch, the park was crowded...' I have to admit I was expecting more of a story. Instead of being told that the Christmas shift was tiring or a particular magic moment was nice I wanted to feel it. Even when one of the girls awakens to find a strange man has broken into their hotel rooms there's little more than a shrug and then it's onto the next thing. It's all tell, no show. Aside from that the voice can often be jarring, switching between the two girls at random with odd breaks where neither of them apparently is the one writing, and there are a few grammatical and factual errors. Also time jumps back and forth quite often, and some of the stories are repeated. As a big fan of Disney and Memoirs in general I wanted to love this, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me.
