It broke my heart to read this book. I can't believe anyone would think it wise and beneficial to tell young girls how to flirt as a way to survive middle school.No-one should be telling our daughters that the best part of "dating" is having private things between you and your boyfriend. Hints to tell girls how to get boys "longing for more" really aren't necessary. There are some good study tips and the book encourages girls to find new interests and be open to new friendships, but the bad FAR outweighs the good.

My 10 year old got this for Christmas and read it in practically one sitting. She said it was a great book that offered her good advice. She is in 5th grade now and said a lot of it she could use now.

It is one of two books that I got my daughter. She is anxious about going to middle school and I think this book made her feel better. Most of the information is pretty predictable and likely obvious, but at that age it is good to have an official source saying it. My daughter found it very reassuring.

I purchased this book for my 12 year old daughter, who has almost all of the books in this series. She totally loved, loved, loved this book. She was so in love with this book - she read it entirely in less than 2 hours. It is a great book and we highly recommend it for all girls entiring Middle School.

I got this as a Christmas gift to my 11 year old daughter and she LOVES it. She's been reading it over and over the whole day. She asked about getting this book because she was worried about going to middle school. A lot of girls get worried about going to a whole new grade and school, so I totally recommend it to parents who have girls that feel just like my daughter.
