With its athletic shoe-inspired look and cushioned EVA outsole, the Grynd fits right in at the gym, but it was born to ride. The mesh and synthetic upper is supportive and breathable, and the nylon/EVA outsole with recessed cleat design will meet the needs of spinning enthusiasts, recreational riders and anyone who wants a solid, versatile cycling shoe for pedaling and walking, indoors and out.

Using a laced shoes provides greater control with regards to how tight you want the shoe to fit on your foot- as opposed to using the common velcro straps.
The shoe is very light and well made (no cheap stitching found on my pair).
As noted by the mfg, the shoe will accommodate whichever cleat system is desirable.
The padding is very thin as some other reviews have noted - personally, I use a thicker sports insert for the sole - I do not feel the cleat pressing on the foot as others have noted.
If using outdoors, laces tend to break down more quickly if they are wet/damp. For that reason alone, I will not use these as an outdoor shoe for cycling. If you happen to live in a dry climate - these shoes will be just fine.
They are perfect for the gym , spinning , carpeted environments. They also have no stiffness at all, they bend just like sneakers.
They are very cool , very breathable mesh construction , I can feel the wind rushing through them when cycling , great for hot environments. Definitely not water resistant .
Laces are cheap , very thin and flat , best replace with round chunkier ones. As they bend, the cleats do grind on the street .
All over I like them because I actually need a pair of shoes that's cool and airy and bends and that i'm going to walk around in and feel comfortable , they just might not last long .
Note: I do have a bit of a wider foot, but these fit very well and I do not have any issues. I also have fairly high arches so I did end up purchasing inserts.
