The storyline follows Nina's attempts to live a normal life while the man that she loves is refusing to acknowledge her existence. Tristan's need to protect Nina from his past forces the man to go into hiding but results in heartbreaking sorrow and dissolution for the only woman who has ever found his heart. When Tristan demands Nina move on with her life, the stakes become deadly and force Tristan to come out of hiding to reclaim the woman that he loves and his rightful spot as CEO. Too many lies and hidden secrets have damaged his tentative hold on Nina's heart and one more will push Nina away-possibly for ever.
The world building continues with revelations about Tristan and Nina's family; their connections to one another; and a history of betrayal, infidelity and broken hearts. The mystery surrounding the threats against Tristan, coupled with a walk through family photographs and memories will reveal that Tristan was wrong on so many counts.
KM Scott pulls the reader into a storyline of suspense and mystery; where one man uncovers the truth about his family's past but a truth that is easier to accept than what he had previously come to believe. The secrets long buried in the grave are slowly revealed as Nina and Tristan are pulled into the writings of two lovers that were never meant to be. In the end, lives and love will be destroyed and, there is no guarantee that the people you are closest to are the people you can trust.
GIVE IN TO ME is an emotional and passionate storyline where suspense meets mystery. The story will captivate your imagination when lies and betrayal seamlessly blend into a world of high finance and the bottom lie-all in the name of love and revenge. KM Scott writes a story of staggering revelations and an intensely, provocative love where two people have been pulled together by the sins of the past.
In reading several romance novel I find some authors are so desperate to create angst and drama in keeping the couple apart to the point where the storyline is either unrealistic, not well thought out, or just plain STUPID. Unfortunately in book 3 I would have to say all of the above with STUPID being the emphasis. Spoiler Storyline: Tristan has a need to protect Nina from the villain, Karl. So what does he do? Well Tristan and his "keystone like cop" Daryl comes up with a brilliant plan to have Tristan disappear leaving poor Nina lonely, deeply hurt and depressed. She was not even allowed talk to her lover. Tristan also suffers in exile submerging in his own pain and anguish resulting in excessive drinking and cocaine use. . In the meantime Daryl (the keystone cop) and Tristan tries to figure out Karl's plan and stop him so Nina can be safe. . Tristan spends months re-reading Joe's notes from his journal and accomplishes absolutely nothing. I have a better suggestion to fight the villain Karl. Instead of Tristin running off into exile why didn't he make good use of his millions and go after Karl. Why didn't Tristan do a Christian Grey and hire a team of investigators to follow Karl, put a trace on his phone, computer or any other electronic device. Find his vulnerability and use it to fend of any threats. In addition Tristan leaving the Stone empire business in the hands of Karl and weakening is position of power was just plain stupid.
And to add insult to injury this ridiculous and redundant storyline took up about 45% of book 3. Oh and this gets better, within a day after Tristan returns home, him and Nina solves the big mystery. Why couldn't they do work together as a team and figure this out 4 months ago.
Remember strength in numbers not the to main characters spiraling in to the abyss due to their separation.
