Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Secondly, he is so healthy and growing well. He has had no stomach problems of any kind and he is 4 1/2 months old. Our poodles had stomach issues from the beginning. He sleeps well, eats well, and enjoys life. Also chewing bones regularly helps dental health.
Finally, Give Your Dog a Bone seems to just make sense to me. This is how wild dogs eat.
In closing, it is very important to educate yourself in feeding your dog raw food. Seek vets who support this way of feeding and find others who have chosen this path. The more you learn the better your dogs health will be.
My dog and relatives dogs have 'much' better health since recently starting this Barf diet. Some are old with cancer, arthritis, bowel problems, and in one healthy skinny younger dog a refusal to eat kibble. This book explains things so well, "very" easy to read, gives the 'whys' and 'how to-s', and much information you need. Dr. Billinghurst, veterinarian, is many years educated on dogs, his life's work...I saw his website with raw products and saw he gives online consultations for your dogs.
"Raw" - "meaty bones" are critical to dogs health I learned and will not hurt them, they would us humans but not dogs who are built differently. COOKED BONES ARE DANGEROUS!! Some raw beef bones 'not' good for many dogs, they're too HARD, but Raw chicken/duck wings and some others are good, also for older/sick dogs. Finicky dogs hooked on any commercial foods may need mincing raw 'meaty' bones in blender/grinder, or other tricks. Exactly what to feed and how is in the book in detail. There is even a section on proper vegetarian feeding and why its better than commercial cooked foods. Author gives all types of diets/ingredients and the pros and cons of each one. Book is one of best investments I've made, and cheap.

Although the author has been criticised for repeating himself throughout the book, I find that useful because there is a lot to take in and it would be easy to forget something important that had been said earlier in the book. Also, it is laid out so that it is easy to find things quickly for reference without rereading the whole book and therefore some things need to be repeated as they are relevant to numerous sections. The book is very comprehensive and covers the principals behind raw feeding, feeding dogs at various stages of their lives, puppies, adults, senior dogs and gives examples of daily feeding menus amongst other topics.
Sourcing raw meat for dogs is becoming easier all the time as numerous companies are springing up supplying reasonably priced frozen raw meat ready mixed but you do need a good book, such as this, to make sure you are giving your dog a balanced diet.
Don't let the price of the book put you off, you'll save far more than that in the future on both food and vets bills, as raw fed dogs are generally healthier than their commercial fed friends. Although my dog was diagnosed with some pretty serious allergies early last year, which normally would have had me back and forth to the vets for treatments over the last year, it's not been necessary to go to the vets since shortly after starting raw feeding.
I would thoroughly recommend this book.

It’s so important that dogs get a complete, balanced meal and I feel this book fails to emphasise this. I found YouTube videos on this subject more educational, especially by Dr Karen Becker and Rodney Habib.

My husband, Arthur Fairhurst, like yourself, has made a life-long study of supplementing the body with additional nutrients for Bodybuilders and Spots People.
With his expert knowledge he put together a dietary plan for Ben. Ben was my Uncle"s Golden Retriever. My uncle passed away and we took Ben on, aged 9. His coat had lost its colour, he was lethargic and sad. After a number of months on his new regime the colour came back to his coat, he became full of life again and lived until he was over 15 years of age.
Good nutrition does work! Whether it be for animals or humans. Do feed yourself and your pet correctly
