My GMH preorder came in the mail yesterday. I had preordered it in October as a Christmas gift for my parents. I had participated in the "get your name and who gives you hope printed in the book" thing on the book's facebook page. I immediately flipped to the back to find what would really make this a great Christmas present - and saw that instead of my name and "my mom and dad" it said MyNameMy. That's my only problem with this book.

BUT as soon as I came back downstairs from hiding it in my room, my mom walked in and told us that our great grandfather had died that afternoon. I was upset, as was the rest of my family. Later that night, my mom was especially down and I decided to give her the GMH book then. I think it lifted her spirits a little at least. :)
The pictures themselves are very well done in the book. Definitely worth the $10.

This is such a fantastic little book of feel good stories. There's no way that you can go through the entire thing and not have at least one moment where you're touched in some way. I ordered several to give as gifts. It's the perfect present for someone who's been feeling down or maybe someone you might not know very well.

Oh, I got this so long ago, forgot to leave a review.

Ah... I really enjoyed the little stories inside. It was a fantastic little book. As the title said, it gave me a lot of hope for the brighter side of humanity. Something to take a look at when I'm feeling down on my luck.

I liked this book and its positive vibes but I felt the heavy use of stock images, some even unknowingly featured on popular internet memes, put a dull on all the good (user submitted) stories/comments.

My mother, after having only a quick flick through and not a proficient internet user, LOVED this book and proceed to order 5 copies to distribute among her friends.

I bought this book for myself and still like flicking through it from time to time but it is much more suited to a friend or family who don't know what stock images are.

I feel my 3 star rating is a bit harsh, but after working in graphic design I just can't look past the heavy use of stock images.
I mean, all they needed to do is write the stories/comments on post-it notes/cards, place them in random places around the city/home/countryside and take a photo. Bam instant quirky love filled positive book without the cheapness of stock images.

Such a touching little book. It's inspiring and true. Each little story gives you a chance to smile. To know that there are people in this world who are selfless, who have the courage to show they care. To know that just a smile or innocent comment can brighten... and even change someone's life. Great book to give as a gift.

This cute little book is absolutely amazing, very heart-warming, and incredibly inspiring. The beautiful images on every single page enhance the impact that the stories will have on you. And just like it says in the title, this book Gives Me Hope knowing that not all of humanity is lost. It is definitely something that everyone, no matter how young or old, should read at least once through in their life.

I read this book at a hospital waiting room when my grandmother suddenly died. It was uplifting and made realize that even though horrible things happen -- the smallest acts of love give others hope.

I frequently visit [...] because of the book. I suggest you do the same guys. :)

I'm going to make this a stocking-stuffer this year for my parent's and cousins.

I received the book 2 weeks earlier than the estimate given by the Amazon. So I acutally got it after 2 weeks of waiting and I ordered it before Christmas. How good can Amazon be even more? I received it in a great condition, packed in a box - inside it was a book in a plastic foil, all nicely wrapped up to get used for reading. Although, they have not done the "free gift text" thing (which is not Amazon's thing, but the seller's thing), everything went fine. You can write the text for yourself.

The book itself is amazing - small in dimensions, but I think I know why it is - a small thing like this can mean a world to somebody else. The 127 most inspiring bite-sized stories are so great that some of them just make you cry. Really make you cry. You still have that hope in humans in love and in humanity of other peoples. Over 127 stories of real people challenging real stuff that makes you cry and actually think about everything. That someone risks his life for his friends, someone fights with cancer and survives etc etc. We need to put Facebook, Twitter and so on, down for a while and read this book. It lets you know that there is still love and humanity in people. I can't put a real review in this few words - I just can't explain it. You have to read it to understand.

Recommended? At all costs.
