Let me tell you about this world.. this world is unique. Leslie McAdam does not write about the easy things in life. She challenges herself and her readers. She brings storylines that are unconventional. That don't depict a guy and girl meeting and their biggest struggle is finding a place to bone. No, her stories matter. They talk about life. About struggles, about pain and loss, about love and how we should love, others AND ourselves. About all the little things and moments and emotions that make up this thing called our lives. These books aren't like other books. They are just.. different. Do they tell fictional stories, of fictional people? Yes. Can those have a massive impact on real people who may or may not have faced similar problems? The most certainly do.
Take a chance, I guarantee you will laugh, you will swoon over her delicious men, you will clap her fierce heroines along, you might cry, at least I am, but not because they are all that sad, simply because I am overcome by the strong emotions those stories set free in me. But one thing is for sure, you will never be bored with a McAdam novel.
This makes me so happy! I love this sexy series! These brilliant, heartfelt stories have everything I could ever want in a romance ... and it's all in one fantastic four book boxed set with so many bonus add ons! Such a great deal!
I love all the extra naughty bits in this boxed set that didn't come with the individual books!
I love Leslie McAdam’s storytelling and how her beautiful books draw me in, make me feel, and just touching my heart in so many ways!
I laugh, I cry and I just enjoy getting to know all of these authentic, engaging characters and the powerfully moving journey each of their stories takes me on!
I love reading all these books over and over, and falling in love again and again
each time I read them!
This is an Awesome Must Get boxed set!
However The Stars in the Sky is one of my all time favorites.
Conflicting ideologies make for strange bed fellows.
Can a staunch republican and an idealistic democrat find love? Or is political disaster in the making?
Marie Diaz-Austin accepts and internship on a ranch that will test her liberal resolve. It all begins with a shower encounter. One quick wet run in with Will Thrash, ranch owner, and a superficial, judgmental comment leads to a political relationship wrench.
Marie is a devout liberal and can't move past her beliefs. Will is staunch in his beliefs but doesn't let it get in the way of his heart. Will grew on me quickly. Even though his Alpha responses are quick and bullish, he's willing to bend even if he doesn't agree. In trying to compromise with Marie he even takes one for the conservative team, all he was miss was a pair of Birkenstocks. Marie struggles opening up her heart, her past continues to influence her present. I found myself easily relating to Marie. She's so focused on her causes that she's blinded by political affiliations. Will doesn't split hairs, he wants Marie and lets her know. Can Marie move past her grudges and find true love?
I really enjoyed this story, I couldn't get enough of Marie and Will. I loved that they had strong beliefs and didn't change what they believed but they adjusted to each other. Compromise is what makes a relationship work and Leslie McAdam's taught us how to make it work. On a side note, Will is absolutely lust worthy. His Alpha hit the mark and the cowboy persona shot him off he charts.
