Wow! Samantha Chase is an amazing author and she always goes above and beyond to deliver a fantastic read to her audience. Samantha has a writing style I just love. It's as if she personally knows what her readers want in a book and then gives it to them. Samantha has a classy and sweet style to her writing that you just fall in love with.
In Glam Squad & Groomsmen you get romance, wedding dresses, tuxedos with hot guys and sweetness and heart swoon worthy moments. You get first love and first kisses and heart break. You get second chances and romance. In Glam Squad & Groomsmen we get Penny's story. We meet Penny Blake and Spencer Buchanan. Penny desires for something solid and lasting. Penny works for Enchanted Bridal with Angie, Hailey, Becca and Ella. We even get a bit of the Fab four(Angie, Hailey, Becca and Ella) as I call them. Penny gets to assist the bride's and even gets to model wedding gowns. She's the Go To Girl. Spencer is an architect and an ex of Penny's and a groomsmen in a wedding Penny has to help with. Spencer is trying to make amends for the past wrongs with Penny and rekindle what they once had.
In Glam Squad & Groomsmen we get a second chance romance. There are funny and flirty moments. You really feel a sense of connection with the characters and that is a unique quality I find admirable in a book. You really get to know the characters and often even feel what they feel. You can even relate to their struggles. I laughed and felt my heart swoon at times. I really found the story and the characters struggles realistic and relatable. At times I was saying "you go girl" and other times I was saying "no" or "say it isn't so". I could not put the book down and read it all the way through. I loved this book so much that I have read it a second time. It's that good. So join me and others and see for why Glam Squad & Groomsmen is an amazing book.
The h works at a bridal store. Her bestie from years ago unexpectedly shows up as a client. Her bestie brings her brother aka the H. He is part of his sister’s wedding party. The three of them grew up together. The H and h were high school sweethearts. He hurt her very much when he broke up with her. That was ten years ago. The three of them lost contact after the breakup.
Everyone is surprised to see each other. The H and h are still attracted to each other. The h wants to get together with the H to get him out of her system. She knows he is only in town for a few days before he heads home. The H wants more. He sets out to redeem himself and to win her heart again.
A fun short second chance read. I thought there was too much sex for a couple who had not seen each other for ten years. I also felt that the h should have made the H work harder to earn her trust. I would have liked more flashbacks from their high school days.
A 3 star recommend.
Spencer has made a name for himself in the professional world in Atlanta, but as his sister's wedding brings him home and he comes face to face with Penny once again, it begins to dawn on him that maybe he was a fool to let "them" go.
Once Penny and Spencer come face to face, it is clear that their chemistry is off the charts and they both long for the connection that they have always shared, even though they have gotten together and broken up more times than either care to remember. They decide to work together to try and build a future.
This is the story about the underdog finally getting her glory!!! Well done, Samantha Chase!! Can't wait for more!
Spencer & Penny were boyfriend/girlfriend off & on throughout their childhood until it came to an end when Spencer graduated & broke it off. Twenty years later, Spencer's sister Eva is getting married & brought Spencer with her to Enchanted Bridal to look at wedding gowns while Penny happens to be modeling a gown. What follows is the give & take of a couple with an intense attraction trying to find a way to make a relationship work without giving up anything that is theirs.
I loved Spencer & Penny! Their relationship wasn't perfect, but was real. Life got in the way. They both needed to look at what happened between them & own up to their share. Spencer would take his disappointment out on Penny and make her less confident & sure. Penny allowed him to do it & didn't stand up for herself. I felt this was the perfect example of a "real" relationship, the give & take, the fights, the make ups & the pressure from family, jobs & more.
