I can honestly say that I wasn't expecting all of the sexual tension in this book. Nicole really made these characters work for that pivotal moment that you know will happen at some point. I just wanted them both to just get over themselves and get it on. The wait was totally worth it though.
Edward and Charolette's story is definitely full of ups and downs... angst... tension... a little bit of fun... some heartbreak. I can honestly say that I enjoyed most of this book from start to finish.
I laughed some. I swooned some. My heart got a little tight in a couple of places. I can honestly say that I was entertained by this book.
The ending was a little too happy. Some of the character's turnaround at the end felt too fast and forced. But I guess it's never a true HEA without everyone ending on a happy note. I will take it.
This story isn’t labeled as New Adult but it very much had that kind of vibe to me, in the best of ways. It felt like a true coming of age, entering adulthood kind of romance and those are my favorite!! It was also a bit of a hate/love kind of relationship that provides the best kind of sexual tension!!
I liked the slow-burn aspect of the romance between Edward and Charlotte. I appreciate that there wasn’t a lot of angst but that it wasn’t lacking in emotion. The pacing was excellent and even the way it ended, in a way that can sometimes feel unnecessary and predictable, felt authentic to the story.
I highly recommend this book if your looking for a sweet, easy read.
Fun, witty and swoony!
When I started reading Glass Castle Prince I knew I was in for a treat. The premise of the story intrigued me from the beginning and I fell for the characters rather quickly.
Charlotte and Edward are going through similar situations in regards of deciding about their future, I love how close they became because of this aspect. But there is no denial that the attraction between them was born since the moment they met, even if they couldn't see it just yet. Reading about them falling for each other warmed my heart and made me feel like a giddy teenager all over again. These two put butterflies in my belly all the time. But that's not all! I loved how these two took my breath away when we explored the depth of their feelings and made my cheeks hurt from all the smiling their banter caused.
While I loved the first 70% of the story I had a bit of trouble with the rest of it, it felt rushed and at some point I even thought there was going to be a second book, because I couldn't see how the author would wrap things up with a few pages left into the story. This isn't about how quickly things happened between Edward and Charlotte, but even though things were moving fast between them, I loved the development the characters had troughout the story, mainly Charlotte. And because of that, I would have liked to get more details about the development of their relationship in those final scenes and not the quick version of it. Another thing that bothered me and still does, is that Charlotte never expressed her feelings towards Edward, she never told him how she truly felt about him and I hated that, because he opened his heart completely to her and continued to do so even when she didn't, he deserved way better than that.
On the other hand, I loved Edward's friends, they add so many laughs to the story and a little insight on the incredible man Edward is. I love them with all my heart.
