Yes, that is Peter Frampton on guitar! He's part of the tremendous band backing Bowie in this spectacular, beautifully shot late-'80s performance. It's full-on rock-'n'-roll theater as Bowie and the crew go all out with the lights, sound, costumes and a dream set list: China Girl; Rebel Rebel; Fashion; Modern Love; Fame; Blue Jean; Heroes; Young Americans; the Jean Genie; Let's Dance; I Wanna Be Your Dog; White Light/White Heat, and more on DVD or 2 CDs!

The whole stage set up and performers made it worth the money you spent on tickets
With Peter Frampton on the tour, the guitar line up is much stronger than with Carlos Alomar alone. This concert was Bowie at his best from the Eighties. Carlos is no Mick Ronson when it comes to the song Heroes, but the Glass Spider Tour was awesome! A must have for Bowie lovers and one of his best live CDS to date!
Top international reviews
its a great pressing, no problems at all and in that respect its better to some recent official pressings.
one review mentioned that it was sped up, if so its well within the normal range to compensate for "drag factor". i didn't even notice it but i assume that if i picked up a guitar to strum along with the disc it would become apparent.
was tempted to deduct a star because it is glass spider but i just skip the new songs and even if you only listen to:
Sons of the silent age
white light/white heat
I Wanna Be Your Dog
i still think this represents value for money.
no way would i have ever bought the dvd/video with the cheesy 80's visuals. i nearly bought the DVD/2CD set for the montreal audio until i read about the phase problems!-whats wrong with emi, can't they do anything right?
without the visual distraction you'll see that these 9 classics were (to my surprise) played well
Fame isn't quite as funky as the rehearsal version (Rotterdam rehearsals bootleg- recommended despite poor sound)
great sound quality, its got that big 80's warm analogue sound, a little like a classic fm broadcast
criticism: i wish they'd included Big Brother, as it is i'm still looking for an error free source of that song
and maybe scary monsters instead of the new songs no one likes anyway ;-)
maybe these guys could do a serious moonlight release- actually i think they did but it was injuncted
TEMAS EXCELENTES Y BUEN SONIDO
