Packaged in recyclable material (no blister packs) and made with chicle, a tree sap harvested sustainably from the rainforest of Central America. Once all chewing gum was made with chicle, but today most gum is made entirely from synthetic stuff. Glee Gum uses chicle because it helps to conserve the rainforest, giving trees more value standing than chopped down for lumber.

5 stars based on my point of use, which is to chew a sugar free gum (with safer ingredients) after meals to help clean teeth, and freshen breath. This is the sole purpose of why I chew this gum. So coupling that it does that job, with the fact that it is all natural, and the updated version also includes an all natural gum base (all other gum-bases have plastics), I'm highly satisfied.

However there will be this con to consider for most looking for a gum, the flavor does not last and it may require 2 pieces for an adequate gum wad. When you first start chewing there is an initial flavor blast that lasts at most 30 seconds, then there is a very mild and subtle mint flavor, though I'm not sure if it's emanating from the gum or just the lingering effects of the initial blast. Regardless the mint is strong enough to freshen your breath, though if you're looking for a longer lasting flavor, this kind (Glee Gum Sugar-Free Refresh-Mint) the only kind I've tried by them, will fail you.

I bought Glee gum because of the purported natural chicle gum used and the sugarless sweetener. Two get the full flavor and enjoyment of the gum, I chew 3 gums at a time. The initial mint flavor is fantastic, but the strong flavor doesn’t last that long and fades to a subtle flavor for quite awhile afterward. To me, that doesn’t matter. I just enjoy the continued chew knowing that it’s natural chicle and not harming my teeth.

Delicious, Quick and Satisfying Chew

First the bad, just to get it out of the way; the flavor of this gum doesn't last very long. If you're used to modern gum, it's a bit shocking. What it does have however is fantastic texture, no added nonsense, and when the flavor is there it's fantastic. I like to combine a piece or two of this gum with a more modern gum, and the combination is unbeatable and stretches the flavor out.

All told, I recommend this brand in general, and this flavor in particular. It's especially good if you just want to cleanse your palette, but don't want to overwhelm it with sweetness for an hour.

I really wanted to like this gum, because it appears to be the only plastic-free in the market, plus the fact that it doesn't have aspartame. I read that the flavor dissappears quickly and I was even willing to deal with that, but the consistency is odd and it really doesn't make you want to chew on it after a few minutes. I guess we all got spoiled by plastic gum. Props to the manufacturer but I hope they can improve the product.

I ordered these because my son who is 7 has adhd and Tourette’s and his therapist suggested chewing gum to help him with concentration and a way to redirect certain tics. As much as we don’t like him chewing gum at this age, it does help him. And so even though it’s pricey I feel better knowing it doesn’t have all the bad ingredients you find in regular gum. The flavor doesn’t last but it’s not bad after.

Be aware that Wintergreen flavor is totally different from peppermint. I really like peppermint so when I tasted the Wintergreen flavor, I was both shocked and disappointed because I thought it would be similar to peppermint.
If you happen to like the taste or Wintergreen, you should like this product. Otherwise, pay more if you must but get the peppermint flavor Glee gum.

Love this gum! The first bite through the Chiclet-esque crunchy shell, followed by the blast of minty flavor is awesome. Those first few bites make these a winner.

We tried this sugar-free Glee variety because we were burning through their sugared flavors fast enough I was worried about our teeth! Also the this is aspartame free, which I prefer to avoid.

I bought these looking for a natural soy-free gum. It's not easy to find, and Glee Gum fits the bill. I keep buying these because we love the refreshing minty flavor and great packaging.

I'm docking a star for two reasons: 1) Very occasionally this flavor sticks to my teeth. 2) This flavor lasts longer than all the other Glee flavors I've tried, but does still run out quickly. But, without chemical artificial flavors, this is food. If you chew food for over a dozen minutes, it looses its flavor too.

I would like the former product back

The new Glee Gum I received recently was not the same as that shown in the picture, and it is smaller in quantity; meaning that it takes 1 1/2 pieces to equal 1 piece of the former product. Same quality but lesser quantity. I would like the former product back.
