All of these shorts lead up to the big novel, The Canary Club which comes out SOON! BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH.
Gilded Cage: We meet Maisie and her family, we are introduced to June.
All that Glitters: This is about June, her secrets and how she is entwined with Maisie and the rest of the Schultz family.
Nothing Gold: We meet Dickey who leads us to Benny and why Benny winds up being Bad Luck Benny....
I cannot wait to see how it all pieces together in the big novel..I am soooo excited.
A splendid, roaring read!
I was intrigued with this series from the first time the author announced about this new series and I must say with every chapter I read, I became more addicted! Chapter one hooked me!
I feel so sorry for Masie - her whole life is turned upside after that one phone call by her cruel and ruthless father.
As every chapter finished, I fell in love with this book more and more. So damn good! But it was too short! I need more! More, I tell you. More.
Favourite quote: "After all, even a caged bird can sing."
This book reminds me of The Great Gatsby. Romeo and Juliet meets The Great Gatsby.
Full of criminals, danger, threats, lies, cheats and star-crossed lovers.
Perfect for readers of historical romances.
All That Glitters
An excellent and interesting read!
I loved getting into June's head - seeing from her perspective, learning all the truths she had hidden from everybody including the love of her life. I wondered how JD will react when the cat is out of the bag?
Favourite quote: "I'm no gold-digger, baby. I'm the gold."
Full of lies, criminal activity, the roaring twenties!, secrets, romance and heartbreak.
Perfect for readers of historical romance.
