About the Author

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessie Evans, gave up a career as an international woman of mystery to write the sexy, contemporary romances she loves to read. She's married to the man of her dreams, and together they're raising a few adorable, mischievous children in a cottage in the jungle. She grew up in rural Arkansas, spending summers running wild, being chewed by chiggers, and now appreciates her home in a chigger-free part of the world even more. When she's not writing, Jessie enjoys playing her dulcimer (badly), sewing the worlds ugliest quilts to give to her friends, going for bike rides with her house full of boys, and drifting in and out on the waves, feeling thankful for sun, surf, and lovely people to share them with.

Reese came home after 12yrs of being the Rodeo queen .She was injured with her head wear a bull had kick her.She had skull line fracture but she had no way to get home from the bus stop. She knew her parents was away for the holidays and she was 30miles for her home and had no one she could call cause it was Christmas eve so she walked to the nearest place that was open. Her head hurt and she just taken a pain pill and when she walked into the nearest hotel the pain meds had just kick in.She was needed a ride home when she seems the bar was still open she walk up to it and thought she would ask a man that was alone to buy her a drink he looked to be nice cowboy so she set next to him.Reese call him broody cause he keep his eyes on the drink he had in his hands. He bought her a beer and she was drinking it and got friendly with him she was feeling better thought he was handsome so she just asked him your place or her and he said let me buy you another beer she said ok but knew she shouldn't mix meds and was having dizzy spell but Reese came on to him more after she drink the beer they walked out of the place she kissed him and said were too He took her to his place.Next thing she was wracking up she thought were she was and he head was hurting so she looked out the window she oh no that was the last place she wanted to be was at Neil Parker place She got dressed fast and grab her bag and went running home it was Grayson that brought her their. His sister told him who Reese was and got mad at him.But he loved his sister and told her what had happened He was worried about Reese. You will love reading this love story it's one that you can't put down it's amazing book and it will make you cry and have all kind of emotions.I really love reading it. Thank you Ruby Miller.

Reece Hearst and Grayson Parker two haunted souls who in order to move forward they'll have to face their past.....Reece can't get over the fact her father believed her lying neighbor instead of his own daughter over something so important like nearly getting assaulted by a sick man....Dale Hearst's action made his already fragile relationship with his eldest daughter much weaker......Reece is wary when it comes to showing her heart to people, she puts on this tough act to keep them at harms length whereas Grayson wears his heart on his sleeves and he believes that love can conquer everything but his father's misdeeds haunt him. Jessie Evans did a magnificent job with the way she wrote Reece's psyche....Love how Grayson was the only man Reece was able to be vulnerable with, the latter showed the former that to love someone isn't a sign of weakest on the contrary it's shows strength...Despite her weariness Reece and Grayson fell in love and she realizes that there's such thing as unconditional love.....Reece faced the dragon and came out stronger than ever but most importantly she let go of her anger and gave in to love.

Glitter and Grit (Lonesome Point Texas #4)
By: Jessie Evans
4/5 stars

In book 3, Diamonds & Dust, we learned that Tulsi’s older sister Reece was a professional rodeo bull rider. I was stoked because I knew this heroine would be tough as nails, living on the road as a traveling cowgirl in a male dominated sport/profession. She has a worse relationship with her father than Tulsi ever did and we soon learn why, making you dislike Dale Hearst even more and his wife for being a doormat.

Grayson Parker is recently retired from the Air Force and has returned home to the family ranch after his father’s death. He’s also taken in his sister who left an abusive marriage and together they have to figure out how to turn around the ranching operation to actually make money. He’s previously suffered through PTSD & nightmares from when he was injured during while being deployed. He’s broody & moody, but plenty hot to make up for it.

Reece is determined to keep Grayson at a distance as a friend and possible lover. She also only plans on being in Lonesome Point for the 10 days that her parents are in Montana visiting Tulsi & her family. So at first, she doesn’t want to risk any entanglement and then thought it would be okay since anything they started would have an expiration date. But what they find is so much more than either one expected.

Mild Spoilers: Tulsi never knew about what had happened between her sister & Neil and the subsequent scandal and rumors and the downfall of Neil’s business & the attack being the real reason Reece left town. I find this totally implausible, especially in a town as small as Lonesome Point and the scandal resulting in Neil being kicked of the Rodeo judging board and the decline of his horse lesson teaching business.

Love Grayson and Reece! I've liked Reece since one of her few lines in Diamonds and Dust, "No, T.T….I guess I just keep thinking that if you stand up to enough horses, you’ll work up the guts to stand up to Dad…" It would have been easy to make a snap judgment about Reece from previous Lonesome Point books, but this is a good reminder there is always more to someone’s story! This was one of my favorite stories in this series, and I love that they can be read as standalones, but honestly I want to keep reading more about these characters! Jesse’s writing is seamless and flows from page to page. The stories are real enough to keep you believing and want to meet them, but exciting enough that you just can’t put these books down. If you’re looking for a sexy, dynamic, fun read look no further!
