Gloriana's self-titled debut reflects both the sheer talent of this up-and-coming group and the level of commitment that they have put into making every note count. Gloriana's soaring four part harmonies have been compared to music icons such as The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.

Instrumentally, the songs are good. It could be that the favoring of the acoustic guitar and mandolin over the electric guitar in some songs gives it a feel of someone picking guitar and telling his/her life story.
There is also dimension to the songs. By this I mean it that there are songs that you could be listening to for the fifth or sixth time and say I haven't heard that before. For example the Song Wild at Heart features a mandolin, 2 acoustic guitarist, tambourine, and four singers. Even still the beat is kept by hand clapping (such as was done in Queen's We Will Rock You). The four singers don't operate as a church quire either. The four of them work together, leaving portions where one is doing a solo and then migrating over to two, three, or all four singing. This then gives the songs a pleasant variety and is often used to advance the message/meaning of the song.
Subject Mater wise, the album runs a gamete of: Teenage independence, love/relationships, and those capture opportunity in life. The material is real and easily relatable to. For example the song Lead Me On deals with two lovers wanting to hold onto a relationship that both know is over. Throughout the song you can find yourself believing what is song. The song also illustrates how the multi-dimensionality of the album comes through. With the band broken down into two half's (boys & girls) each representing half of this "done and over with" relationship thereby advancing the message of the song.
The album does has it's downer songs, which only add to emotions being expressed. For those who liked the Taylor Swift Self Title album will be at home. Those who would favor Lady Antebellum's more upbeat sound or that of the Fearless Album of Taylor Swift's will still find that they would enjoy tracks: 1. How Far Do You Wanna Go, 2. Wild At Heart, 4. Lead Me On, 5. If You're Leavin', 6. You Said, & 10. Even If I Wanted To (Constituting half the album)
This debut is all about catchy, upbeat Pop/Country tunes.Such as the big hit Wild At Heart. This song pretty much sums up their sound.
Other toe tapping songs include How Far Do You Wanna Go?,If You're Leavin',You Said and Even If I Wanted To.
The girls(Rachel and Cheyenne)really get to showcase their pretty voices on some of the slower tracks, like Come And Save Me and All The Things That Mean The Most.
This new addition includes the current single The World Is Ours Tonight.
This album is just perfect for singing along to in the car on a sunny day.To describe Gloriana, think a more Pop/Country version of Little Big Town.
The album has memorable melodies, strong vocals and is beautifully produced. In fact the only negative thing I can say about the release is that there's no lyric sheet included (something of an irritating trend these days) and the artwork is a little cheap looking.
But, it's a great album, which is the main thing though if you're a country purist you may think differently...
Everyone who is a fan of country music needs to have this CD in their collection.
you can listen to the whole album through with out thinking "oh well this song is ok i guess"
gloriana is so fresh compared to other country these days
cant wait to see what they come out with next
i also really like the album art on the inside. It has a fun design to it. i still buy cds because i like to look at the inside when i am listening to them.

album is even better than in person because you can hear
the individual singers more clearly.
