This could have been a fantastic product had they made it like the illustrated box photo. Like I said above the biggest disappointment is the small size of the drawable inner glow area.
Unless we just got ahold of a bad one, I would not recommend it to anyone.
First of all, my review is positive. And contrary to what other reviewers may say about positive reviews on this product, I am not an employee for this product and have no connection with it's manufacturer or distributor other than my son was given this as a gift nearly a year ago. I am a firefighter/paramedic in Florida and have been in that career for 18 years, not the toy business.
I don't know what product the other reviewers received. But, the box that my son's glow dome came in looks exactly like the one pictured. And you ARE able to 'write/draw' on all of the enterior of his with the exception of the one end that has the door. But, the opposite end and the entire curved walls/ceiling are 'writable' with the 'glow wand' thingy. The poles (fiberglass tent-type with elastic cord connecting segments) fit perfectly every time.
In response to folding it up to go back in the storage bag, it does take some technique. We were familiar because my other two sons, now 17 y/o and 19 y/o had toys that folded up similar including a kite, a fire truck tent, and another crawl-through toy. The trick is to grab it on opposite corners and twist in opposite directions. It is a little more tricky than it sounds if you aren't experienced in doing it. But, once you get the 'knack' of it, it is quick and easy.
The cardbord/paper stencils with shapes didn't last long after getting bent several times. But, he traces other things and we had some sturdy plastic stencils left over from one of my older son's art kits that work just as well.
My son still gets it out regularly and plays in it. It also makes a neat 'clubhouse' or tent for a 5 year old. Easier than getting a bunch of blankets and propping on chairs like I did 40 years ago. I will likely get one for my nephew this Christmas, as he likes my son's when he visits.

My kids received this as a Christmas present. It was missing the glow pen so it's useless and not of interest to a 2 & 5 year old. Very disappointing.Published 7 months ago by Cristy Holloway

Very simply the glow spot inside the tent is a very small square. My son had more fun when he took this thing in the backyard and rolled around in it. It is very easy to store. Read morePublished 13 months ago by SILENCE48060
