When i initially purchased this item I thought that it would be better than the Crayola Glow Station because it offered multiple glow sheet colors... I was very wrong. When a company decides to make a glow in the dark toy, they must decied how much glow pigment they will put in the item, this decides how long and how bright it will glow, the pigment quality can range from grade 0 to grade 7 and increases with cost. This company has used a cheap glow paint that does not last very long even in the darkest of conditions, and the sheets dont seem to have a protective trasparency over them the same way Crayola does. The picture on the box depicts a boy who has drawn several items, when my children tried to draw even one item by the time they went on to draw the next, the first had already disappered. This in indicative of this company saving on production cost by using an inferior quality of glow paint.

At our pediatric location, the children could not even use this item because of how fast the glow would fade, and several of the children want the Crayola one becuase Crayola, who has been around longer, has used good a glow material and brighter LED, that caused it to be bright and lasts much much longer.
If your thinking "well maybe the problem was with your light", nope , at our clinic we have laser light toys, so instead of using the light that came with it we tried the laser, which is obviously at a much higher intensity, and the glow still would not stay but for maybe three seconds.

The stencils are few and appear to be made of compressed paper, where as the stencils from Crayola are many and both positive and negative cut outs made from hard plastic.

When this was opened everyone in the room (adults included) wanted a turn. The images are erased by completely exposing the pages to light so this pad does work best in the dark, although faint light does seem to work ok. The "wand" is attached to the pad with a string, and there is a compartment for the included stencels. It's lightweight and would be very entertaining in a car while traveling at night. Having been asked by my friend's three year old to draw him a panda bear multiple times I can say that this isn't great on detail but how many kids really care about that? Using the stencels, I've successfully drawn space scenes-complete with rocket/flames, stars, and a moon.

My family just took a road trip from TX to CA. I was't sure how my 2 year old would do in the car for so many
hours. This Glow-To-Go turned out to be the trip saver. Every night I would hear her ask for her "glow crazy". As she was watching Elmo talk about the sky and stars she was drawing them on the doodle pad. She loved the colors of the glow and the glow sheets. The pad was very easy for her to use and hold. She LOVED it! When she fell asleep I would snag it and play with it myself. The stencils that come with the doodler are so fun. There are stars and spaceships and rockets...because the glow lasts so long, I was able to create a full picture. I was impressed by how long the glow lasted.
This is a very hardy product. My 2 year old has already put the light to the test. We have dropped and pulled it several times...still works GREAT! I know that this will be a staple on all nighttime trips across the country or across town.

We bought these as gifts for many kids before buying them for my own girls. I can't believe I waited so long! This has been such a life saver on night car rides when the kids are looking for something to do and the DVD player is just not holding their interest. They just use their imagination and draw and are fascinated by the glowing images. They really like the stencil feature and I love that the pen is attached with a string so I never have to hear "Mom I dropped my pen"

All the kids/parents we have given this to have been so happy with it!

My first comment: neither the box, nor the product itself look as pictured. So, only the name "Glow to Go" and emblem match the picture.
Real product looks much cheaper than in the product picture - it is green inside, sheets are very thin, and the middle "sheet" almost doesn't have the frame. Stencil sheets are also very thin and as for me have nothing in common with the colorful sheets advertised in the picture. Also, lightwand doesn't have the "ergonomic" design, it has simple cylinder shape.
Another subjective comment: in order to draw, the button on lightwand should be continuously kept pressed - it is impossible just to turn light on and then do not worry about keeping button pressed. I understand that this is made to have more flexibility of making "gaps" in drawing, and maybe this is not a big problem for older children, but my 3-years-old gets tired because of such approach.
Anyway, all these cons could be forgiven if the toy works as expected. But unfortunately it doesn't. Even if play with it in the really dark room, it is almost impossible to finalize some picture even in the one of the sheets before the light trace begins to disappear. So, the drawing for sure doesn't last long...
But it is still sometime fun for my little one, that's why I rate it as 2 stars.
