This light up cat was purchased in hopes of helping soothe my 3 year old who's afraid of the dark when she wakes in the middle of the night. So the pros: It's adorably soft and furry, and super cuddly. The lights work great and are decently bright but not enough to disrupt sleep.
The cons: This came without batteries, which I wasn't expecting so I thought it was broken at first. The lights go out after 15 minutes which would be fine for most kids, but for mine it created a huge problem.
Because the lights go off on their own, she is unfortunately now terrified of it and refuses to use it. It lasted one whole night before that became an issue. The hope is that we can try again when she's a little older, because she has no interest in turning it back on herself. My guess is most other kids wouldn't have a problem with this, so I don't fault the product itself.
