SIZE: They're 1" long and about 5mm or 3/16" wide (same width as Glue Dots' "mini dots"). This is great for most uses and you can easily cut them shorter if needed!
STRENGTH: Small but mighty. They bond instantly and stay bonded on most (clean) surfaces without a problem. I've used them on paper and cardstock, but also to attach lightweight things to my walls and a few miscellaneous uses. I used one to attach a wrapped 3oz candy bar to a plastic water bottle and it didn't budge (even in warm weather that started to melt the chocolate bar in the wrapper), to give an idea of how strong they are.
APPLICATION & ROLL: The roll is really great. It's clear plastic and perforated between each glue line (other GD products are non-perforated white paper). Tear the perforation, lay against your object, press it on, peel up plastic, then press the glue-lined part of the object to whatever you're gluing it on. Easy peasy. The clear plastic makes it easy to see exactly where you're pressing the glue line, too.
So clearly, I love them!
They're just essential for scrapbooking, card making, other crafting, whatever other use you can find for them.
Scotch Permanent Double Sided Tape, 1/2 x 250 Inches 3-Pack Caddy(3136) was hard to remove from the glass, and wouldn't stick to the ribbon. Scotch Magic Tape, 3/4 x 1000 Inches, 6-Count Package (810K6) stuck to the glass & the ribbon...if I didn't fold it in half to hide it, Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller Value Pack .31 Inches x 49 Feet, 4-Pack (6055BNS) stuck to both the vase & the ribbon, but was hard to remove from the glass...so I remembered that glue dots worked for all my past craft projects. After sending my hubby to an office supply store (where they never heard of them & didn't carry them), I didn't have time to run from store to store looking for glue dots so I ordered these from Amazon...and they worked wonderfully!!! They can even be stretched.
Glue Dots Glue Dots 1/2-Inch Craft Dots, 200-Clear Dots/Roll saved me lots of time, saved my day & my sanity! They stuck to both the ribbon & the glass, were easy to remove & didn't leave any messy residue on the glass.

With that out of the way, I had a hard time rolling the dots off the roll and on to the paper. I use them for my son's baby book for the pictures, announcements, etc. They seem to stick so far, but I'm about 3 months behind on the book because I'm avoiding the dots...
I'm pretty neat freak and organized and I thought I could place the dots where I wanted, but I have a hard time since you don't actually peel the dots off and place them down. Again, maybe I'm the only one who can't figure these things out, but just in case there are more terrible crafters in need of a craft item - beware, I found these to be hard!
That being said - I'll use permanent 2-sided tape next time :) I've got tape mastered!
