Better Than Glue Sticks and White Glue

I came across this accidentally on Amazon and I'm happy I did. This is essentially the same stuff banks use to attach new credit cards to cardstock when they mail it to you. These glue dots work quite well. They glue items together tightly but not permanently. My 7 year old twin granddaughters use them for craft projects. They aren't messy like glue and are stronger than glue sticks. They don't wrinkle paper like white glue does. There's no waiting for it to dry - they stick instantly. Perfect for kids' crafts! Probably ideal for use with poster boards too but I haven't tried that.

Editing my former review... turns out I was using them incorrectly. Once I read the instructions, they worked great! I was trying to peel them off the backing, then stick them to stuff... turns out you're supposed to stick the dots on the item first, THEN peel the backing off. When you do it that way, they work great! Now I'm happy I purchased them and will use them on my wedding invitations after all.

Tapes did a terrible job, so was wood glue

I was looking for an adhesive solution to stick my Christmas light onto wood surfaces. Tapes did a terrible job, so was wood glue. These little things saved the day. I learned from an earlier review that you're not supposed to touch the dots as that would turn them into a sticky glob. You need to keep the dots on the paper, and just apply them directly onto the surface. I used the paper to press them on the surface too so no hands were required.

Maybe it's just me but I'm obsessed with glue dots and have been for years. I use them for everything!!!!! My recent discovery is that they work really well at repairing resin and polystone statues. If you collect gaming statues buy these! The hair broke off my Morrigan statue and the glue dots held better than super glue.

these suck. not permanent, & they don't even hold. I've used them multi-purposely, for posters & the posters still fell off the wall, same with plain old paper, it ended up falling right off after a day or two. I used them to hold cables to the wall & I'm not sure if that's a good use for them but they didn't hold for more than 30 seconds. I used them to hold little decorations down to surfaces & then all my decorations fall over after a few days. I've even used them on fleece to keep a part of it folded down, it didn't hold, even after applying like 6 dots to it. this stuff overall is crappy.

The concept seems great. Sticky little buttons to hold up pictures on glass or mirrors sound great. BUT, they don't work. Tried to stick 8" X 10" laminated photos on mirrors in my business and they just fall off 5 minutes later. Put 2 or 3 dots in each corner of the picture and no go! So I go with good old Scotch tape rolled up and BINGO! Why waste 6 bucks for these dots when I can get 2 rolls of tape at the Dollar Store.

Definitely permanent. Bit of a learning curve first time out of the box - as in I had them on my hands, arms and desk before I figured out how to control the little buggers. But once we got that under control I realized I can also put a second piece of the no stick paper on a dot and cut it into 4 for smaller pieces. That get all over me even faster. However, that's my issue, not Glue Dots. I've made cards with craft glue and now Glue Dots - Dots win hands down. 300 seems like a lot, however I made a 4 colour card and envelope and used about 2 dozen. Plus another half dozen on me. Order accordingly.

Useful for scrapbooking and cardmaking

Super happy with the product received and it is exactly as described. Identical to products purchased locally which I've been using for years.

This product is super useful for both scrapbooking and cardmaking. The 3/16" (5mm) size works well for our needs. It is useful and strong enough for attaching embellishments, including homemade quilled flowers and other creations. I purchased the Acid free type as they are also safe on photos.

The glue dots can be applied by finger or tool. It does tend to roll up onto itself so you may need to be delicate in the operation. There are also dispensers for this type of product too, but I use them without.

Overall pleased with purchase and will not hesitate to purchase more when I run out.

I'm using these little dots not for crafting, but to hang poster and pictures. For that purpose, they work great; three or four in each corner does the trick perfectly. It is a little tricky to actually remove them though, they do tend to peel the paint back a bit. But for crafts, I'd imagine they'd work great; they're very easy to apply and hold very solid.

Don't work well for highly textured surfaces and nothing with sparkles or loose bits. Very resistant to stretching. I really like that they are archival/acid free

These were the perfect size and held the ring on the gift boxes - my only thing with this is how the dots have to be applied - while they are attached to the paper they come on you need to press the dot and peel the backing, something that can be difficult. Otherwise, they were worked, were strong enough and durable.

Habe die Dots gekauft um Weihnachtsdeko aus Filz auf glatten Flächen anzubringen. Die dots halten das Gewicht und sind gut wieder abzulösen.
Allerdings halten sie auf dem filz nicht! Hab improvisiert indem ich den filz "grundierte" zb mit klebstoff oder acrylfarbe. Das ergibt nach der trocknung eine glatte Fläche auf der auch die Dots halten...
