Go the F--k to Sleep Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

4.8 out of 5 stars 23,080

Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep.

Go the F--k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland. California Book Award-winning author Adam Mansbach’s profane, affectionate, and radically honest verses perfectly capture the familiar - and unspoken - tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night. In the process, he opens up a conversation about parenting, granting us permission to admit our frustrations and laugh at their absurdity.

Beautiful, subversive, and pants-wettingly funny, Go the F**k to Sleep is a book for parents new, old, and expectant. Due to its explicit language, you probably should not play it for your children.

Feel free to share the link to this page with tired parents and other people who could use a good swear and a laugh.

Great condition used book!

Great condition used book!
Great price for used book in great condition! Some obvious creases on the outside hardcover, but would never consider it detrimental to the quality of the product. No markings on the inside. Was able to gift it as a secret Santa to a new dad.

Bought this as a part of a baby shower gift. Love that this book reminds parents that it’s ok , and that we’re not perfect. We all have these thoughts when exhausted due to a new little one. Great for a good laugh and to lighten up a stressful time.

This is probably not a book you want to read your children as they get older and understand language a bit more because the title of the book is constantly repeated throughout. However, everytime my wife or I read this to our baby we die with laughter even though we know what it is going to say. If you are looking for a hilarious book while your baby is young enough not to really understand it - this is the one to get! It is funny not only for the title of the book repeated several times throughout but all the little ways parents get upset with their child when trying to lay them to sleep. This is a must get!!

This is definitely not a book you want to read to your child to try to get them to fall asleep. This is aimed more towards exhausted parents who just need a good laugh. Every time I get invited to a baby shower, I give the expecting parents this book! It lets them know that parenting is a tough job but don’t take everything so seriously. Remember to laugh and have fun!

This book is for moms not getting enough sleep and feeling frustrated with life. It's sarcasm that breaks the stress of taking care of younger kids

Love it! Funny!
But ultimately quality wise it’s exactly what a hard copy book is expected to be. Only complain is that I wish it was a bit larger.
