The quality is good. The waterproof feature is good. The camera itself seems resilient to basic knocks and bumps. However, the battery life is absolutely horrid. A fully charges battery will literally die in a couple hours just on stand-by. Recording time is about an hour before death. I am very unhappy with the batter capability for the GoPro Hero Black.
I tested the alleged waterproof feature, by filling my sink, and sitting the camera down in it, while recording. No issues there.
Overall, i'm rating this camera a 3/5, mainly due to battery life making it a necessity to purchase extra batteries, which I did, and also being a hindrance to any "away from charging" locations. This camera is touted as being an on-the-go, and activity-capture camera. However, unless you have a charging station, or a wall receptacle "on the go" with you, or you buy a bunch of extra batteries..i'd say this camera locks you into local, and more populated areas.

In the month of December, 6 months ago, buy the camera gopro hero 5, in its second use, in a water park, the camera stopped working, we verified that it had entered water, it was perfectly closed. I would like to be able to solve this problem. I live in Uruguay, with whom I must communicate. Thank you

Waterproof, Dustproof, Dropproof and many more. This sports camera shoots amazing videos. The touch screen needs a little work but other than that I have no negatives. I love mine and I bring it with me everywhere. It's small and fits in my pocket. It's amazing for capturing special moments, or awesome sport tricks. GET THIS!

Best GoPro yet! Easy to adjust settings with the touch screen. Battery life is better than previous models. Many different resolution options for video as well as aspect ratios/angles. Anyone willing to spend the money on a nice camera with 4K video option, this is a great purchase.

Its a GoPro with stabilization that can shoot in 4K. Perfect for not only a helmet cam for my motorcycle in the event that somebody hits me and run, but I can also shoot really cool action shots.
The waterproofness is nice, but a case is definitely needed to keep the lens blemish free, or at least a screen protector.

Great product, love these cameras and fast shipping. However I rated only 4 stars because the actual GoPro attachment broke off from the plastic most likely during the shipping process (as shown in picture), but overall no visible damage to the GoPro and it still works fine.

I purchased this product to make blog videos while i was traveling. I already had my canon dslr camera but also wanted to bring something easy and compact. The GoPro is the perfect camera for that. After watching reading a bit of the manual and downloaded the mobile app, I was able to catch everything i wanted to on the trip.
For the people out there with rather big or stubby fingers it might take a little while to get used to the touch screen the screen is pretty precise with it's screen features
