Bottles leaked - thank heavens for Ziplok bags!

I really wanted to love these bottles. They look cute and the reviews were good. The reality was very different. I carried these in my hand luggage, safely in a front pocket where nothing would rest on them or bang into them. However, all I can say is thank heavens that Ziplok bags are leakproof because the GoToob+ bottles aren't. What a mess! If these hadn't been safely inside a plastic bag I would have had liquid all over my passport. I shudder at the thought of the chaos that would have caused... We tried the bottles with just water at the hotel and saw there was nothing to stop liquid just seeping out along the gap at the top of the lid and then oozing out. They went into the hotel trash can. Back to my old screw-top plastic containers! At least they proved reliable for the rest of our journey.

I paid extra for the name brand, since I didn't want to worry about a copycat one leaking. Well, they leaked anyway! I had these all packed and ready for a trip and when I checked on them the various liquids (including brown Noni lotion) had leaked out. I went to return them and saw that I had missed the return window by a week. A real bummer!

For some stupid reason, the brand of face cream I use no longer packages it in a tube.
The thing is, containers that you dip your fingers into are hella unsanitary. Like, what better way to ruin an expensive face cream than fill it with bacteria and then get a skin rash or something.

I bought a single one of theses from the Container Store and was so pumped that I ordered these from the Amazon for a different face cream and a body lotion. Great little dudes.

Here’s why they rule:
Silicone - doesn’t melt and doesn’t smell
The lid has a swing thing that locks it closed - you feel like a astronaut using it
The spout is the kind that is one way - it’s sealed when your not squeezing

Anyways, buy these and live your best life. Party

DO NOT waste your money on these. We were traveling abroad and I purchased these for my husband thinking they were well made with tightly sealed lids. He put the locks on to ensure no leaking, but was skeptical, and put all three bottles inside a plastic bag. Every one of these bottles leaked. I would return them if I could....

We bought 12 of these for a 2 week international trip. Used for sunblock, bug spray, shampoo, shower gel, sanitizer, laundry detergent, whatever.

So far so good. They lasted 11 plane trips and the change in cabin pressure. Whether checked baggage or carry on, the locks worked and none of them leaked. I had a couple clipped to my bag with caribiners throughout rough terrain in the brush of Africa and nothing ever broke or leaked.

With the lifetime warranty, we are very happy with these purchases.

I bought the three pack to use for shampoo, conditioner, and facial cleanser. Turns out you can't store certain products in silicone. Still using for cleanser. Might use the other two for catsup and mustard later!

Other than the unpleasant surprise that I can't use them as I had hoped, the containers are great! The extra safety feature that allows you to secure the lid with the loop from the neck helps keep it from opening up during transport.

Great Quality But Really Bulky

Alright I wanted to like these really bad but I am just not going to use these to travel. Gotoob is the OG silicone anti-leak travel bottle and I was excited to finally pick up some name brand bottles after I was so happy with my cheaper knock offs. I figured that these must be really nice if even the cheap ones had been good, I had planned on picking these up again when it was time to buy more travel gear. I got the small size because I already have a healthy collection of 3 ounce bottles, I needed something smaller to conserve space in my TSA 3-1-1 bag because I can't take everything I would like with me if I take 3 ounces of everything. Well, the quality of the materials is undeniable so I can't give this a bad rating, and I do think they have a slightly better seal than my cheaper bottles too. The thing is they are so bulky and inflexible I find them unusable. These "small" bottles took up almost as much space as the 3 ounce bottles I already had to hold close to half the liquid. Other bottles will kind of nestle in and squish against each other to save space, these are just stiff as a board and the excessively large opening isn't doing it any favors either. The locking mechanism would just further exacerbate that problem so I find that feature unusable. I can't recommend these to people who struggle with the TSA liquids restrictions like me, and my cheaper bottles not only pack better but they've never leaked on me anyway, plus pretty much all the silicone on the market is food safe and BPA free now too, so I didn't have to spend more in the first place. If space isn't a big deal for you, you want bottles made with thick silicone, and more substantial lid, then you may like these although you should remember that these are still much more expensive than other practically identical products too.

When i received these, one of the three was already broken. The top of the tube where the liquid is supposed to come out was broken from the beginning. As other have said, they are absurdly bad quality. This is really too bad, as the rest of the tubes are really great! And when they work, they are great too. But instead of using nice rubber they went for a cheaper solution, and the tops simply break.

That being said, the two others work very well when traveling.
