They list this appliance as a countertop air fryer, so we believed it would be safe to use in our home. AFTER the incident, we read the safety warnings. I think it is under warning number 28 that the manual says it is the user's responsibility to determine if this appliance is safe for your countertop. How the heck would we know that? They don't publish the temperatures their air fryer will heat your countertop to.
So why did I give this a 4? If you read the whole safety manual, (we never do, do you?) it does say you have to determine yourself if this product is safe for your countertop. In the end, we did determine that it is NOT safe for our countertops, and will be disposing of this.
All in all, a very unsatisfactory, and expensive purchase.

Love it! Was skeptical about the basket peeling but if you just wipe it out or rinse it each use you are fine. Perfect for making Buffalo Wings for husband. Cam make 10-12 large wings at a time. Had an air fryer in the past but it was circular and awkward. This fryer is more oblong and perfect for my cooking needs!

Love it! nonstick peels off after a few months

I bought this in May of 2022, by Dec 2022 the nonstick surface of the bottom of the drawer started to crack and peel off in chunks, now the pan where you actually put the food is also beginning to peel the nonstick surface off.
