Sahara Dionne has been through a lot. She is finally getting her life on track. Her roommates have both moved out to be with their men, things are going great with the Cobra's Ice Girls, and the team is in the playoffs!!! The one bad thing is who the Cobra's are playing, the New York Islander's. Her ex's team. Knowing he's in town has her on edge. When he shows up at her place asking for her forgiveness she's ready to give him the benefit of the doubt but she will never really trust him again. Will she regret even trying to be his friend? Has he really changed?
Dominick Mason has moved on after the failure of his relationship with Oriana. She has everything she needs, it's time for him to find what he needs. He's not even sure if he still wants to be in the life, he's tired of never having anyone to call his own. He thinks that just might be Sahara, but when they finally go out on a real date & he gets called away when Oriana ends up in the hospital he handles things badly & thinks that maybe it just isn't their time.
Will Sahara & Dominick find there way to each other? Can they each give the other what they need? Can the team make it into the next round or will there be too many distractions. Oh, & let us not forget Pischlar & White! What is going on with them?
Thank you once again, Bianca Sommerland, for giving your fans an absolutely fantastic book!!!
Add to that the fact that it felt like I got whiplash from Dom and Sahara for a good 70% of the book and the very abrupt ending and it left me with a very unsatisfying experience. I just wanted more of Dom and Sahara. I wanted the relationship build up we got with the previous couples. I felt like Dom deserved that and he got shafted just a tiny bit.
I'm in no way disappointed that I spent time on this book, this is one of my favorite series and I've reread the first 6 books. This is one of my top recommended series actually. Heck, I spent $60 on paperback versions to go along with the ebook versions! This just happened to be my second least favorite of the series and I never thought that would happen for Dom because I love him so much.
I hope Pischlar's book is back to the caliber of the previous books of the series and the focus is more centered on him and his HEA with only small doses of the other couples.
So, will Dominik and Sahara be able to put their respective pasts behind them? Or will all of the stressors and baggage be too much for this prospective couple to overcome? Will Dominik really give up being a Dom (hah, and can Sahara find peace in her submission?
I am such a fan of the author and this series. I'm very much looking forward to the next book, sometime in 2016!
