Yeti 1400 Lithium Portable Power Station
From phones to fridges, lights to power tools, the Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium is an ultra-high-capacity power station that provides portable, on-demand power at the push of a button. Winner of multiple awards for product design and functionality, including the prestigious Innovations Honoree Award in Portable Power from the Consumer Electronics Show.
The Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium is a battery-powered generator, a clean alternative to 2000W gasoline-powered inverter generators, with an inverter producing the similar continuous output (1500W), and nearly twice the surge capability (3000W) for running high-power devices like power tools, fridges, sump pumps, and more. It features a 1425 watt-hour capacity (132,000mAh/10.8V, 396,000mAH/3.7V) with various high-power AC, USB and 12V outputs capable of running 10 devices at once. Avoid the innate hassle of storing gasoline or worrying about toxic fumes and relentless noise, trade up to silent, clean, exhaust-free power from a Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium Portable Power Station; the next generation of power.
On-demand Power for Use Indoors and Out
With no gasoline needed, the Goal Zero Yeti 1400 operates with zero fumes and zero noise for an easy-to-use, plug-and-play way to power all your essential electronics and appliances at the push of a button. It’s safe enough to store inside your home or apartment for running lights or appliances during an emergency power outage, and still durable enough to take along to your next outdoor project. Weighing just under 46lbs, the Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium Portable Power Station is easy to grab-and-go; throw it in the car for running lights at your next camping trip, or take it along to the next tailgating party and run TVs and speakers without the noise.
User-Replaceable, Ultra-safe Lithium Battery
Our priority is building quality products that work when and where you need them and safety is our top concern. The Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Lithium features state-of-the-art, energy-dense lithium batteries with layers of additional protection and security to ensure safe operation. We start with quality 18650 lithium cells, known for increased stability over flat pack cells found in cell phones and laptops, and chain them into a high-capacity pack. The lithium pack is monitored by a Texas Instruments battery management system that prevents over-charge, over-current, and short circuiting. The battery pack is enclosed in a water-tight enclosure that seals it from the elements and allows for a user-replaceable system, lending to the overall longevity of the product. The Goal Zero Yeti Lithium 1400 also features an advanced cooling system to regulate temperatures of the system as a whole.
Yeti 1400 Lithium Highlights
Recharge at Home or On The Go
Comes with an AC cable for recharging in 25 hours from an AC outlet. Pair it with solar panels (sold separately) for a solar generator setup and recharge in as quick as 4.5 hours depending on solar conditions and solar panel array. Allows for pass-through power, meaning it can simultaneously recharge from solar panels while being used.
Long Shelf-Life, Perfect for Unexpected Power Outages
A 10-12 month shelf-life means you can charge it as an emergency power supply. Use it to run fridges, lights, even medical devices safely inside your home. A typical gasoline generator (2000W) can run a fridge for approximately 6 hours on one tank of gas. A fully-charged Goal Zero Yeti 1400 Litihum can run the same fridge approximately 20 hours*.
No Additional Maintenance or Operation Costs
Adding up gasoline, oil changes, and other maintenance costs of a traditional inverter generator adds up over its lifetime. The Goal Zero Yeti 1400 has no additional ongoing maintenance or operation costs and results in a total cost of ownership that’s less than ½ that of a gasoline generator.

Anyway, the 1400 is pretty crazy. It is a plug and play system and since it is lithium, you don't need to worry about fumes if you're using this inside a small area. It powers 1500 watt appliances no problem. Judging by the usage when running these appliances, the 1400 watt hour rating seems more or less accurate.
I would definitely recommend this. It is pricey for what is it, but it is portable, relatively lightweight and plug-n-play. It fit my needs perfectly.
I paired this with a Renogy 150W panel. You can order the anderson adapter straight from goal zero. Their site says sold out but you have to call them for the adapter(s).
My wife and I have two small kids, so the 4 USB ports allow all of us to stay powered up at the same time without anyone getting left out. We mostly use it for mobile phones and tablets, but have also used it to power a TV and Nintendo console for the kids. It has a port for everything, so short of a washer and dryer, there really isn’t anything that it can’t charge. I’ve read that the unit can power a small fridge, but personally haven’t tried that yet. Good to know for the future, though!
A bigger concern for me though is that I live in Houston Texas, which is right in the “catcher’s mitt” of Gulf hurricane activity. Having gone through Hurricane Ike a few years ago, and being without power for 3 days, the Yeti 1400 makes me feel better prepared in case disaster hits. I also purchased two Goal Zero Boulder solar panels to charge the unit in case of a full outage. So far, I’m very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
Runs lights, charger, fans, tv's, little lower tools. I use it for camping.
