Dr. Angela Cooper opens up her own hospital that specializes in patients with PTSD. Her soul mate, Cassandra, and Angela try even harder to help Simon to look within himself and find ways to bend his mind in ways he never realized. The story takes the reader to a place of good vs evil, heaven vs hell, where daemons and sorcery are the norm. While this story centers around Angela and her Romanov powers, it really is about the push/pull of everyday struggles and how the mind changes our perspective to protect it in times of need. I am fascinated by the author’s ability to create such a unique world that maintains its realistic sense within such a detailed story. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going, it changed gears and more was revealed to keep me reading. Kudos, Mr. Menefee!
I will say that my only complaint is the length of the novels, but that is understandable with how much detail has gone into the story. It takes a little while to read, but it is well worth that time and effort!

One of the things that delighted me is that I have a lot of trouble holding stories in my head. For example, I read part 1 of a story and when I get to part 2 I have forgotten all of the original.
With this, although I did not remember the particulars of much of the first, I remembered the people as soon as I started the second. so there was a continuity that was rare for me. Some books live for me, their worlds live and are as vibrant as this one. Dave's books link the otherworld and this world in a way that happens rarely in real life. and that brings a lot of joy to me - I did not want this book to end.
Brings us this multidimensional novel that will entertain, edify and keep readers rapt.
Menefee bends and stretches our minds and imagination on so many levels.
Follow Cassandra, Simon and Angela on there epic journey of courage and love. Be prepared for some interesting surprises too. One of my favorite lines is..
So, let's cut the bull**** and try to pretend that the world is weirder than any of us can imagine.. 😊 What a great way to start the summer!
Angela and Cassandra work ever deeper and harder to bring to light the truth of Simon's mind, and they support and encourage him to look at himself in the most alternative of ways. They travel to the Otherworld, which is a more developed and dynamic place in the second book, to get a glimpse of what can be created by thought, and seek insight on how to face it head on.
I am a great fan of Dave's writing, and already ready to read the third book!
