While I'm not a religious person at all, I am always interested to hear the perspective of others, and thus read the book with an open mind. What I found enjoyable was her treatment of science. What I found objectionable was her attempt to bring science and theology together as if they can be mutually supportive. This has been attempted by many other authors with about the same degree of success (or failure, as the case may be).
While I applaud her attempt to rationalize the necessary division between the two, I think the book would have been much more interesting had she stuck to the sciences on one hand, and had a greater amount of separation of her personal views on creation, philosophy, and theology on the other. It was the intertwining that made the book confusing and hard to follow at times. To me the subjects are a bit like oil and water...possible to mix, but much easier to handle separately.
Finally, there were far too many quotes from others...I would have much preferred to understand how she felt rather than how she felt what others felt, based upon a nearly endless quote mine.
Overall a good effort, with a few caveats.
(Note: I purchased the book for myself and am not a "professional" reviewer).
