About the Author

The invention of the ebook, just like the University of Toronto's Academic Bridging program, gave me the opportunity I needed to prove myself. Because of them, a runaway who had to sleep in a shopping cart at sixteen, a high-school dropout with seemingly no prospects, went on to live in the best city in the world, meet the best woman in the world and marry her, attain two degrees from one of the top forty universities in the world, before achieving his dream of being a full-time author and having one of the best-selling science fiction series in the world. The success of the series has also allowed me to adapt the novels for film, as I directed a proof-of-concept short film, and has given me the opportunity to become a TEDx speaker, speaking on the incredible potential and existential risk of post-humanity and superintelligent artificial intelligence. I couldn't be more grateful to my readers and fans of the series! Visit my website to learn more at POST-HUMANNOVEL.COM

This is a book about a God that is not at all what we think of him... The new concept of God introduced is quite an interesting one. This is not a religious book at all by the way, even if God is involved. It's a really good book for those who like ghost stories with a little bit of paranormal, but not too much super power and stuff. I enjoyed it a lot and it was very hard for me to stop reading when I needed to.

Only three things bugged me (SPOILERS here): first, I did not like how technology was the solution to a ''supernatural'' problem. It didn't feel right. Secondly, and this is not a very important thing, I don't get why Nathalie's child aged (from not even born to 6 years old) while every other ghosts and spirits didn't... Also, this is the third book I've read from this author and I don't like how no character ever truly dies. Honestly, I wasn't even sad when one of them died because I knew he would come back in some way...

Overall, I did like the book and I do think that it deserves 5 stars. I would recommend it to anyone.

I thoroughly enjoy reading this author's work. I would consider this more fantasy than sci-fi, but it showcases and intriguing take on God and Satan and Heaven and Hell. Some would call it blasphemous, but I truly enjoyed the read.

I really liked the premise of the book. So it read a little far-fetched at times like the part about the aircraft carrier heist, but overall, I really liked the idea of killing god. I think if you look at it philosophically that we tend to do this when things go wrong. I don't review books on grammatical errors as tiny as a typo so those things are minimals and petty complaints about it are a waste of time, but the story is good. If you can follow it without bringing in silly complaints, then you'll enjoy the book.

I gave this book five stars because it was one of the most imaginative books I've read thus far! It was frightening, funny; with unforgettable characters! The book isn't for religious zealots, but for those who can think outside the box! Enjoy the ride of the story!

Wow. Such a fun premise and fast-paced story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this over two days. Dysfunctional characters, with Satan's assistance, lead the charge to defeat God. God, or what it is being called, lives in an alternate dimension and feeds off the souls of the deceased. For those that go into the light, heed Admiral Ackbar's most famous quote, "It's a trap!"

Cipher, Han, and Father Hurley have lived with the knowledge of the truth, which haunts them in more ways than expected. Those that see ghosts and demons, yet are cast aside as crazy....well, they just relearned how to see true reality. Natalie joins the fray in attempts to kill God once and for all and free the souls of the departed in the process.

It's one thing to fight for survival and quite another to fight for your eternity.

Fun story - fun concept with quality characters, action, humor, and conclusion. Killer cover-art, too.

Wow. A super premise poorly executed. I really like David Simpson's writing, but this book felt like it was written in high school. Apparently little editing (whole for hole, etc.). Sneaking onto an aircraft carrier and stealing a thermonuclear device...seriously? There is little to no character development as the characters are constantly fighting ghosts. I see this is being developed into a graphic novel. A graphic novel may be better media than this novel, and I hope Mr. Simpson takes God Killers out of circulation because if I had read it prior to Post-Human, I would never have read that series. Again, wow. So disappointed.

I really like this book because it's such an interesting and, for me, unique take on God and the afterlife. I don't normally approve of such material, as my faith has enough holes in it, but putting that aside, the story was a new, fresh spin on the whole shebang. Well done, Mr. Simpson.

I just finished reading "The God Killers" and all I can say is "WOW!" The main characters are flawed but likable (well, Han is a bit of a whiner, but he gets the job done eventually), and the plot just keeps moving along without letting up. My only complaint is that I don't agree with the book being classified as horror. Even with the supernatural elements, it still felt more like an action/adventure/thriller, but that's a very small criticism.

I'm not really going to go into the plot to avoid any spoilers. It's enough to say that in this book God is a monster who consumes the souls of the dead to feed off their energy. Our heroes have seen Him and what He is, and the book is about their attempts to kill Him.

It's a great read and very hard to put down. If you like supernatural adventures then this is the book for you.
