If you enjoy reading uplifting spiritual material, you will love this book. Highly recommended.
only into his view of the world, but into the heart of his characters. Ingrid Henzler's
artfully written book brings us marvelous insights into a world that hasn't changed
dramatically in over a thousand years. THE GOD SEEKERS delivers the message,
not of Christ per se, but of a spiritual calling and spiritual growth as it occurred in the
lives of twelve brothers and sisters of the Franciscan Order.
The author enlightens us with bits of wisdom and offers a surprisingly telling glimpse into
the spiritual life of men and women who have followed their own path to God. For us to
understand how these kind, thoughtful and gentle seekers found their way to a `holy order',
and how they now live their lives of commitment and joy shines a light on our own path.
There is much for us to learn, regardless of our own beliefs. Mrs. Henzler's probing and
discerning questions opened the door to a room that needed airing out. Blessed as she
must be with charm, sincerity and awareness...... she allows us to enter a world of cloistered
normalcy, devotion and love. Very few interviewers could have uncovered these lives so well.
The writing is personal and deep. It leaves the reader feeling complete.
Now let me digress. In this new century, there is a rising movement toward spiritual discovery
and awareness in western civilization. Technology has accelerated this trend, but if we want to
grasp our own spiritualism, we must uncover it ourselves. Finding our own
personal path calls for openness of mind and contemplation. For many, they are
newly entwined with all that is and acknowledge whatever undefinable divinity is within them.
So, when you read about how these brothers and sisters talk with God, you understand how you can
talk with your own God. The roadmap is there to get you started. Among many other insights,
"The God Seekers" reminds us to listen to that voice that is the truth within.
However, when I started reading her book, I could not stop. Many of the interviews brought tears to my eyes. And each story definately touched me individually.
I definately think, it should be translated into more languages, as it is a book, that helps us - the readers - on their path of finding God, of finding truth... of finding your own personal meaning in life.
So... I tell you: don't wait and buy it now. You deserve it :)
